Honest question,… who does the powers that be have ranked number 1 to start the season,… Notre Dame, Texas or other? I’d be shocked if we aren’t in the top three and honestly think they might have us at 1
Agree with those who say we won't be ranked quite that high because we didn't make the playoffs. But of course neither did Texas. And (right now at least) we are the two most-loaded teams in the sport with two of the best returning QBs.

Let’s talk,… I honestly think floor is 3 losses (postseason included) with a wtf loss, maybe Miami and then farting out of the playoffs… this is of course ignoring a catastrophic string of injuries or something incredible. The ceiling,… wow, guys for the first time in my adult life I think I can say it,… the ceiling is a natty game appearance and,….. losing on a last second field goal miss because we don’t have a kicker… stay tuned,…
I don't see how I could convince myself of anything more than a loss during the regular season. There will be teams that can play tough with ND but ND isn't a lightweight-finesse team. We have speed in the linebackers room, we have a great secondary. The DL is TBD but....things are looking really, really, really good. Even our 3-deep at DE looks enticing with the young freshmen. What if one of our recruited DL breaks out? What if a TE surges to the front of the pack? The WR has loads of competition and a lot of athleticism. We have two Faison brothers now, Greathouse, and all of our young guys who we thought might take a step forward: Burress, Gilbert, Saldate, Cam W. and now add Porter and Graham and 5 freshmen who all have a chance to disrupt the room.

In order to lose 2 during the regular season, we'll need our OL to be complete dogshit or have the worst injury luck we've ever seen. I could see us drop 1 and it's still hard to determine who it might be other than Miami (and they are losing ALOT from their offense).

We'll see what kind of energy Freeman can create this offseason. We'll see if they can develop a new identity. Hard to see how this defense could be worse. Safeties have experience. LBs have experience. Corners have tons of experience. And we have a lot of youth behind the starters.

Honestly, I'm trying to convince myself the offense is a huge question mark just so I'm not too confident in this team's ability. On paper, this is the most stacked team I've ever seen wearing the golden helmets.

"If I can take a moment here, and I mean what I'm about to say. I feel a lot of love in this room." Anyone know what movie this partial quote is from?

I don’t disagree but a wtf loss and a tough loss to someone like Miami,… I certainly don’t expect that but I was talking floor. If they get the kicking game set then legit, ceiling is a natty and blowing through teams like Indiana is currently doing it. It should be fun

You know damn well the SEspnC machine will keep us down and minimize our strength of schedule as long as they can before the SECfp rankings come out in late October.

After this year, there's no way they're losing to Miami next season.

That game will be a ruthless statement game.

They’ll still have beef with us. Or they’ll just feed the “ND is overrated” narrative and constantly bring up last year’s preseason and post season rankings as proof.

I could see that….However, I don’t want to be ranked #1 in August. Hell I don’t want to be ranked top 10 in August. I want the pollsters and espn to dick us over for skipping on the bowl game. That way we keep that FU, revenge tour energy burning.
