I think he has like 10 charges or convictions (not sure what happened in each case) on his record, second chances have come and gone in my opinion...

I was pretty content on not needing a QB next year with Gunner and Malik on board, but if these are our options I definitely feel like we don't need another QB... Unless we can go with the "you can play one year and be a top 10 pick program", but since I see 2.5 good QB's on the team and I still fear Tommy starting I don't see that happening any time soon!!! (Speaking of getting a different kid w/o all the off the field problems, obviously)

At first glace, with the previously stated record, I was all like no thanks. Now, I'm all like, okay, he seems like he's got things under control.

It's going to be interesting to see which '14 QB they offer first between Litton and Mahalak. They both seem like they will stop their recruitment the second that happens.

Just asking, I dont wanna start a huge fight but what has this kid done to make everyone think "oh he is ok he has changed" or not a "thug"? Is it because he wants to got to ND, all of the sudden he is ok?? It just seems a lil silly that if this was a scUM recruit or F$U or UF we wouldnt be as quick to say he has changed. Seems like a lot of homerism and not too much objectivism.

Some homerism and objectivism, sure. And why not. Isn't that what being a fan is all about? But besides that, I am one who would think that BK and staff would be aware of his history and would not be recruiting him if they didn't think he had his life straightened out. I have the upmost faith in the coaching staff to make the correct decisions.

Or you can look at it as his parents didn't think he deserved to go to ND with his behavior and had to convince them that he is on the right track.

Or it could be just like 90% of parents who don't want their kid to leave home. I know I had to comfort my mother when I told her I wanted to go 9 hours away for school.

Really? My parents must hate me. Of course I was the youngest, so my parents had really gotten beyond giving a **** by the time I came around.
Perks: I got to do whatever I wanted in high school.
Cons: My parents got me my selective service card for my 18th birthday.

To clear things up, I was just bringing up the idea that maybe he changed things around simply because if I wanted to thug out, Notre Dame would be the last place I'd want to go. I'm not sure if he has or hasn't.
