hazah!!!

no suprise to me, always felt Heuerman was favoring ND or the U and looked like Ohio St wasnt really trying to get him

I don't know. I actually think he was our #1 at TE after Breneman chose that nasty place. Marcus Baugh was a surprise to everyone, even the staff. (I don't think his commitment sticks once the big boys on the West come knockin', but that's for another thread..) I think they were really hoping to get Heuerman and either McNeil or Baugh.

if they really wanted Heuerman and Heuerman really wanted OSU then I would think him and Meyer would have met before

Per the insiders on Buckeyeplanet, this one's all but over.

Him hanging around with Tyler Eifert an extra day to play golf means a lot.

He doesn't want to compete with his brother at the same position. I'm not saying that's the reason he's going to choose ND, it just made his decision much easier. Good get for you guys, if it comes to fruition. I really wanted Mike in Scarlet & Gray.

I hope we can get back in on Josh McNeil.

Thanks Buckeyes.....you've got a pretty good commit at TE right now yourselves.

i was gonna say...this is by no means close to over. like it or not, urban basically has the last shot at this guy and that doesn't exactly leave me thinking he's a lock to end up with us.

Per Sapp visit went "Very Well".

Will get a school visit from Alford the day before his scheduled announcement.

Sapp would not be surprised if he needed more time.

I believe we cannot underestimate the importance of that visit. Before, Meyer had the last word, now that doesnt seem to be the case. I feel much better about our chances now.

We haven't landed him yet. Calm down til he verbals.

I wasn't counting chickens.....I was merely being appreciative of the info. Not often fans of other schools come here to share info, and I do believe tOSU has a pretty good kid already committed at the TE position.

Could decide as early as Monday, the 27th is more of a deadline. The U or ND IMO. Urban is gonna have to pull out his "God has a plan for you" speech.

Per Sapp he wanted to come back and visit to spend more time with other players bc last time he was with AL the whole time.

Sampson feels really good about our chances right now and thinks we land him per his podcast.

Interesting that @Jake_Brown's interview of Mike Heuerman notes that Troy Niklas is sidelined with concussion symptoms, per Heuerman.

I dont find that interesting just saying

Well it would be interesting, in a very unfortunate way, if Niklas developed a concussion problem. But third-hand info on that kind of thing isn't worth much, now is it?

Niklas status shouldnt effect Heuerman IMO
Recieving TE: Koyack Heuerman
Blocking TE: Nilklas Wech

Pretty sure its just interesting that Heuerman shared the concussion info when no one from the team did.

Jason got GREAT stuff from Heuerman, who sounds like he is really stressing out over this decision. Heuerman feels totally comfortable at Miami and that's why he had to visit ND again, to know if he could have the same comfort level at ND without Lynch? I did not realize he liked Miami that much.

He says he knows where he'd commit if he had to commit now, but he has to go visit OSU to see what he wants to do. So sounds like OSU is not the leader right now (unless I'm reading too much into that ...)

How can a kid as smart as Heuerman commit to Miami when the Shapiro thing is hanging over their heads?

If what you say is true, and we both know that may not be the case, it certainly sounds like Ohio State is running third right now. That is extremely believable, and I love it.

I can't believe how long it takes the NCAA to make decisions. This scandal was huge, and it's been nearly a year now -- and nothing's happened to Miami yet.

I think I read somewhere that the NCAA was going to be coming down with its decision on Miami this summer, in June or July.
