Nah we will take one and then hold room for a elite guy like Vernon Hargreaves or Priest Willis.
Not trying to be negative Philly but Hargreaves is not coming here. IMO

I watched his tape again and I just don't see him being a step slow. I think he will be a very good FS.I'd personally much rather have Bell. Maybe this is just me but I like the way Bell tackles on his film and it looks like he has superior closing speed.
WCAC is pretty stiff competition though and that might make Butler look a bit slow.... at the same time, the entire time I watch his film I think "why isn't he a step faster?" like most elite HS kids look on their tape.

IMO we will land a top flight corner because of how thin we are there. Not sure who yet.
I think Willis is our chance for a top end corner.
We got a dark horse shot at McQuay, likes Vandy alot so we have a good season, get him on campus, we got a shot
McQuay is a Safety. He seems to really value academics.

Def agree about his tackling, it's atrocious. He doesn't wrap up at all, but college coaching will change that.FS I can agree with you on (obviously assuming he gets better at tackling, etc. but all kids do once they get college coaching). I thought we were talking about as CB prospects but I now see you said earlier "FS written all over him."
8 more? lolHow many safeties do you all think we take, we will already have 8 on the roster next year.

He got a 1240 on his SATs (out of 1600) according to his twitter. Not too bad at all
It is out of 2400 (there are three parts now, reading math and writing) but he said in a conversation with another person on twitter that his score was on the two part. Interesting fact, Notre Dame doesnt care about the third part of the SAT, just the first two parts (reading and math) so him talking about his score on the two part could have something to do with passing admissions at ND... just pure speculation, and Im sure there are other schools that only look at the two part as well, but it definitely is interesting to see him talk about his score on the two part while visiting ND.
I think ND would definitely take anyone 1000 or higher on the two part. I bet they would even go as low as 900/800.
A lot of football/basketball players these days take the ACT because it is easier to get a middle score.
I would think that these scores would be allowed for exceptional athletes. Anything below 1000 isn't very good. Then again, the SAT is not the perfect test to measure intellect. It doesn't include work ethic and character of an individual. I would think that if Brian Kelly vouch for someone with a low score, he is confident the person will succeed at ND.
athletes on the gridrion. They aren't equipped to do so. Longo can work all year with a 800 SAT Math Major they runs a 6.0 40 and has a vertical jump as high as a slice of cheese. If they don't have the frame or musculature, 20 hours a week with Longo isn't gonna allow they to outrun George Atkinson nor push Nix off the line. Yet every year fans demand ND lower their requirements while at the same time expect a kid with only an Algebra I background will succeed in the ND classroom with 800 SAT score Math majors. Great response. Thank you.
I think some athletes (especially at ND, Vandy, Stanford, Nothwestern,etc..) are equipped to excel in both the football field and a science major. The only issue is the kind of commitment it takes. No personal time. I think that's why you only see rare occasions of guys doing it.
Apparently we gave him a lot to think about and may have pulled even with Penn State who was previously a clear favorite.
Yep, just saw that update on ISD. He asked the guys there (reporters) for some space so he could think things through. Probably won't be much coming out in the form of updates other than that.
