So I am taking the Physics of sports at Ohio State to boost my GPA and I looked at the classlist and I am excited to be with 2 stars of the final four Ohio State basketball team. I am also wondering why Buford is taking this class as a graduating senior.

I know some people here tend to think you are an Ohio state fan over ND and a thread like this isn't going to make people think otherwise. Just an FYI I could care less who you ...

He's pointing out that two stars of the basketball team are taking a class about sports. I don't think he's bragging about it but instead pointing out how serious osu athletes take their academics. Notice the reason OSUdomer is taking the class himself...

I'm just honestly really excited for tommorow, Sullinger and Buford are the leaders of a team going to the final four and I always had a facination of meeting people that are on TV and are talked about frequently. If they honestly think that I root for tOSU over ND they have not read many of my posts. Aside from that its not like OSU and ND play eachother, Woody and OSU have been afraid to play ND. Why can't I simply like both? Also Clashmore is right, OSU is a great school besides for athletes.

I'm not criticizing osu domer at all. I know he is nd first. I just noticed he gets treated poorly by many and starting a thread about being in class with osu players is pretty irrelevant and opens him up to more bashing.

There are two reasons I posted this:
1. Yes I am very excited that I am taking a class with two of College Basketballs stars in a 50 person class. (Suprising for OSU)
2. It's the Physics of sports it is a joke class and I honestly was expecting atleast 1 athlete. I remember when I took the history of Rock and Roll with Mike Adams and half the OSU athletic department there was a softball player who was taking Math 050 which is basic algebra. They do have joke classes.

I'm ashamed.

osu, I don't need to retract anything other than my first post. I guess I missed where you said you were excitEd. I thought you were taking a shot at Buford and Sullinger for taking a class that you are in to "boost your GPA". I didn't think you were being a Jersey chaser. I was wrong on both counts apparently.

I mean I am when I take an easy class. I would rather see star athletes and get an A its like the coke zero commercial. I need a GPA boost and picked a good class. I did take a shot at some athletes with some of their joke classes (see the post above it) and it is well noted that many not all players are taking joke classes.

I go to KU. I hope we beat Sullinger...

Rock Chalk.

That looks like a great game waiting to happen. Sullinger vs Robinson will be one for the ages. Hopefully the refs don't suck and don't call ticky tack fouls like the OSU vs Fines game.

That class sounds awesome. Just please tell me that doesn't satisfy some sort of science credit at Ohio State.

Yes, joke classes that fullfill science requirements don't exist at ND, and the most known joke classes are certainly not chock full of football players...

when you're taking a class that has craft on the list, then start bragging. he's the only "student athlete" on that team. not to mention they'd be in the nit without him. he's the most underrated player in the country.

fyi...neither of those two will be in that class when it starts. buford's done and sullinger is going pro, even though he's far from ready.

Could be. Robinson is a bit more raw, I think. But, he's a stud. Never would have predicted KU in the final four this year. Bill Self's best coaching job.

I taught science-credit courses at Western Michigan University to non-Science majors [aka general education] for thirty years. "Even" at WMU we took education seriously when it came to curriculum planning in the sciences. Creating deliberately cake courses so that people can evade the reason for why universities theoretically exist is unconscionable from a true educator's point of view. Some students will always want to take the easy way out, and most particularly in the sciences. Some alleged "teachers" will go along. And for an institution to facilitate that is, yes, a good reason for deploring it. No one will ever convince me that actual quality education is some sort of optional take-it-or-leave-it part of a university student's life.

It starts today. Craft is a year older than me and really far ahead in his studies and in a completly different field. I just will enjoy that class with my friend who knows Jared and the two members of the OSU basketball team.

I can't think of anything more annoying at times in college basketball........

100% agreed. Worst chant... ever?

On the same token, I'm not sure how Kansas will do against OSU. They may have beaten them earlier this year, but that was without Sullinger and it was at Kansas. And, by all accounts, Purdue really beat Kansas and the Boilers got housed by OSU in the BTT.

I mean, can we be honest? It took the refs turning a blind eye to a straight up tackle for the #1 Big12 team to beat the #6 B1G team, so this game should be an OSU victory (assuming those reffing blunders don't "pop up" again).

This year's officiating has been a disaster and the NCAA needs to rewatch all of the tape and make an immediate change to the officiating system.

But now I'm venting, so I'll go away.

Kansas is a matchup nightmare for Ohio State, with or without Sullinger. They are athletic enough at every position to guard Ohio State and have a deeper bench. Purdue was a matchup nightmare for Kansas because they shoot lights out from three. And Hummel just went crazy. I expect Kansas to win but you never know.
