It's a little early in the process to judge a recruit based on his offer list. Wait until after all the junior days, camps, and competitions this summer.

“We just want to get an overall feel for the school, how Mike could benefit from attending such an illustrious school and also just to enjoy having a look at the facilities and getting a feel for the history and tradition of the place. Every Catholic kid’s dream is to either attend Notre Dame or play for them, so it’s a great thing.”

The family has some experience with the process as McGlinchey’s first cousin is former Boston College and current Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

“It’s been really beneficial and from my perspective, talking to his parents has been very beneficial for me,” said McGlinchey Sr. “It really has helped us out, being able to see it through somebody else’s eyes who has the experience.”

Could be a strategic business decision to try and attract new customers after viewing the quality off the content from other writers after the loss of Coach D (honestly the best thing ISD had going for it) to the coaching ranks.

Out of the 100+ kids we have offered alot of them say i really like ND or i was a huge fan growing up but the are a Lean to other schools. Maybe we should start to target kids that hate us.

O'Brien is making Pennsylvania a priority for PSU Recruiting for 2013 and beyond. Remember the Sandusky Trial will be in two months and probably more info will come out. My father is a lawyer who talked to the Head Judge of Centre County PSU country and said its gonna be extremely bad and worse as it goes on.

I agree that once they get into the court room so much information is going to be flowing it is going to be a mess. But O'Brien is working his a&& off to get kids there. Mostly new coaching staff that had nothing to do with this. I don't think it is going to be as bad recruiting wise as many think it is.

Yeah I agree. Unless it turns out that a lot more PSU people were involved in wrongdoing, people we don't know about yet, I don't see it having an effect, even if it does get worse with respect to the people already implicated.
