We still haven't had junior day.

I'm anxious to see the outcome of that...don't want to get my hopes up for commitments but that's the nature of the beast...you just see other schools popping commit after commit you just expect for it to happen with your school.

Interesting comments from Bosch on 247. No mention of Notre Dame at all. Called Michigan State and Stanford coaches before committing to tell them what was going on. said Michigan has perfect balance of athletics and academics.

Errrrrrr--what?!! Michigan's football players notoriously take joke classes all day every day.

Pfffft..... I see this recruiting class potentially being a total bomb. We need to have a good year on the field. Period.

Thank god it is lacrosse season.

Yes, players can take joke courses but, in his defense, Michigan offers a good opportunity. US News #28.

...and regarding the OSU sign, they may not all be officially declared majors. It may be propaganda for face-value-only, no-questions-asked, people.

p.s. I am not a fan of either school. When they play each other, I want both to lose.

Wasn't this kid the one who was complaining about not getting an offer after he camped at ND last year? If so seems like he is entitled. Plenty other O-lineman out there and it's only February.

Positive to take away, Michigan got 3 4* OL and i don't see them getting 4 in one year which means hopefully Tulley Tillman or Pocic is ours. trying to be optimistic

Yeah I saw that too...

Kyle Bosch
Chris Fox
David Dawson

Those 3 guys look to be legit Olineman - no movement to another position
I can see them taking one more definitely not two

So my assumption it's all in for them on both Pocic and Tulley and see who pops first.

It's pretty sad if we've got to hope Michigan fills up at a certain position just so ND can get players. Bottom line if ND stops giving away games like they did last year recruiting won't even be an issue.

Hell I was one of the ones pushing for him to get hired. But the not quite full class last year and the start of recruiting this year is a little bitter.

Now you all can sit back and watch the show and say "It's early", UM beat us up on the trail last year, they are headed for another monster haul and now with Meyer in the mix some of these recruits are going to be a premium. This is the year for me for Kelly. It is year 3. His guys are starting to populate the starting spots. I don't expect 12-0 this year, but in the games we do lose I expect to be competitive.

What? Michigan's recruiting haul was pretty much all quantity with not much quality.

I suggest, for your sakes, some of you don't even pay any attention to recruiting until after the first 4 games of the season. There will be too many ups and downs for you guys to handle - probably more downs than ups.

We lost this year, too much. Michigan had the luckiest season I've ever seen, and they won. OSU will be on fire with recruiting this year as well. What ND has to do this year is win. Until then, we'll get some recruits, but not as many as most of you want.

It's Michigan's JR Day - what did you expect? Because Michigan locked up some guys, a few of you want to basically give up??? Predicting this year's recruiting to be terribly weak is, well, terribly weak. IT'S FEBRUARY! Holy hell, we still have almost 365 days until next year's signing day. It's funny how we all say that none of these recruits are true commits until they fax in their LOI, but yet Michigan gets some verbals and it's the end of the world for some of you.

It's really simple - if we win, our class will be fine. If we lose, it won't be. Until then, all the staff can do is put in the time and work their arses off, which we know they will. And after that, just win baby...

Also noteworthy that only 59 majors are listed for O$U's side, while scUM side only totals 45. Some (freshman) on schollie likely have not yet declared. There's more to the it than meets the eye. That's a classic Republican v Democrat political style propaganda sign. Bottom line is they both suck.

Why is it that it is our tendency to reduce everything to something else so we can understand it, when it wasn't that in the first place?

Rationalization:

Rationalization (making excuses) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In psychology and logic, rationalization is an unconscious defense mechanism in which perceived controversial behaviors or feelings are logically justified and explained in a rational or logical manner in order to avoid any true explanation, and are made consciously tolerable-- or even admirable and superior-- by plausible means.

Aye, in this neuro-pathological shitstorm we call the Internet, rationialization is the ticket for the sociopathological ride we take between logging in and out . . .

I just don't get the "Nothing to see here" argument. The 3 years previous to Hoke saw the worst football at UM in decades, if not ever. We've been middling for the past 20 years. Hoke gets hired and without word one, game one they are sucking down recruits like its candy and land a consensus top5 class. Hoke and Co. came in, plugged in the monstrous gaping holes, jumped their defense almost 80 spots in national rankings and went to a BCS game, where they won. We started the year with 2 straight losses, play decent most of the rest of the way, got punched in the mouth by USC (again), punched in the face by Stanford (again) and lost to a bad FSU team in our bowl.

Our top WR decided that Houston (!?!) was a better place to be, we end up with 17 recruits, a decent class regardless, but still way behind UM.

So if you tell me there is no reason to panic, I call BS. Yet again they are going to fly right past us. I am almost convinced that we are going to be happy with a ceiling of 10 wins, and no more, ever. With an average of 7-8. Like it or not, this is the future.

It doesn't matter recruits or records, ND and UM is just a traditional rivalry........throw records and all the rest out the window.

Can we even get to both junior days plus the spring game before we start bugging out about recruits?
