Based on the article, seems like UNC is out in front with us right behind. Hopefully I am reading this wrong but not feeling that confident here as much as I hope I am wrong. Hopefully the sanctions will lead them to favor the Irish.

Whoa, I definitely read it differently. I thought that Sapp's implication was that UNC might be losing ground because of the sanctions issue. Based on my reading there was nothing in that article that was bad for us. There was also nothing to indicate that Davonte might be leaning toward one school or another. Regarding UNC, there was just the "red flag" (Sapp's term) of the sanctions issue and the fact that Davonte's grandma lives there, which we already knew and I think Sapp just threw in for the sake of readers not up to speed.

Glad he's not visiting Zona this weekend (although all things considered I wish he were; awful about his cousin), but why can't he visit next weekend? Don't get why no one talked about moving the visit but hopefully that's a good sign

Believe me, I hope my interpretation is wrong. I would love nothing more for the Irish to sign Neal! Kids electric

I didn’t see it posted anywhere but yesterday Devonte joined the “Bang Bang Notre Dame Gang” on facebook. Interpret however you want to, just throwing it out there.

If you read back a couple pages he was urged to join by a fellow IE member. I wouldn't put much stock in it.

Well one of the guys on that group requested to be Devonte’s friend, Devonte accepted and then asked to guy to “like” something that his friend had posted. The ND fan said he would if Devonte joined the "Bang Bang Notre Dame Gang", and Devonte said OK and did. sooo who the freak knows.

I really dont understand the point of waiting this long to choose. If ND has been the one school that seems to always have been in his top picks why not pick ND? Used to be an ND vs OSU battle, now OSU is out why not just pick ND. What else is he looking for, is it something ND doesnt have? I hope this time reflect is only firming up his conviction to choose ND but who knows. I just really hope this kid is Irish!

He'll choose when he is ready and nobody ever said it was a OSU and ND race. It's his decision not yours. If he chooses ND great, if he doesn't just remember a kid just picked Houston over them so it shouldn't be a surprise if he goes somewhere else.

Relax SJ, I am not really that worked up. No freaking out here lol :) I also am aware it is his decision and if he does go somewhere else I will not be surprised, especially with the way this recruiting cycle has gone.

I don't know why someone always has to "lead".... this is clearly a wide open race between ND, UNC, and probably Arkansas... and maybe Arizona. 25% chance of us being happy, 75% chance of us being sad.

It looks like the WR coach for UNC just got hired by the Colts. This would seem to help us.
Source: Indianapolis Colts hire Charlie Williams as wide receivers coach - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN

The college tutor of New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is returning to the NFL.

A source told FOXSports.com that the Indianapolis Colts are hiring Charlie Williams as their new wide receivers coach.

Williams, 54, had spent the past five seasons holding the same position at the University of North Carolina. His prize pupil there was Nicks, who had 76 receptions for 1,192 yards and seven touchdowns for the Super Bowl XLVI champion Giants in 2011.

Williams also coached Cleveland wide receiver Greg Little and 2005 first-round draft pick Troy Williamson during his college coaching stints. He was on Tony Dungy's staff from 1996 to 2001 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Colts fired wide receivers coach Frank Reich as well as most of former head coach Jim Caldwell's staff after the 2011 season.

Have I told you guys lately about the famous Irish mathematician? This thread kind of reminds me of him, (with the bang bang Notre Dame Gang and all.) His great claim to fame was discovering the Astronomical Ratio; which he uncovered when he realized the number of horse’s asses greatly outnumbered the number of horses.

Ha, they said of the schools Neal is considering, the biggest surprise choice would be ND. How are they always so far off from the rest of the services? It's crazy.

Who did they say he would go to or is the most likely?
