Full report up from Sapp. Still have the official to Arizona set on the 10th but it could be replaced with OU. If it is then they will unofficially visit Zona.

Davonte's cousin was struck by a car early this week and was in critical condition and the ND staff called to offer well wishes which really impressed Luke as we were the only school to do so.

They are having nightly discussions about the teams in consideration and there hasn't been one that has separated itself from the pack yet.[/QUOTE]

I don't like the sound of that.

Hopefully his cousin recovers quickly

Seems like ages ago, and I guess it was in CFB years, but when Andy Bischoff left Cretin-Derham Hall (as Henderson's position coach) to take a role with Montreal of the CFL, ND was the only staff to wish him well.

I really want this young man. But it if we don't hopefully other kids that our coaches do care about the recruits and their families.

ND vs. OU battle, IMO. Arizona on the outside, we'll see how the visit goes.

Very happy OSU is out of the mix.

Well wishes for his cousin. The last thing the family needs during this already stressful time is an actual life-or-death situation with a family member.

I think he ends up at OU if he visits there. They've entered the game late, and despite the thorough approach from the Neal family, there is no undervaluing the importance of momentum and freshness. I also don't like the fact that no school has separated itself yet (though that has my cliche meter going off like crazy)

When did Davonte visit ND?

Thoughts and prayers with his cousin and the family. Hope she keeps fighting and beats the odds.

Anyone hearing anything on this one? I don't think we have a shot...........I just don't think we do well with kids that are looking, either you know your ND or you know you aren't....I suspect the latter but I am praying for a surprise.

WHAT?

Like 90% of Notre Dame commits take plenty of time to think about their choices.

Some wait particularly long. Manti Te'o, Matt James, Troy Niklas, Ishaq Williams, Kona Schwenke, Kapron Lewis-Moore, Deion Walker, etc etc etc etc.

But don't let that get in the way of your pessimism.

Scout.com: Notre Dame VS. North Carolina

Interesting rumor on a UNC board. The poster doesn't cite his source, so there's no way to gauge how reliable this might be, but I thought it seemed at least somewhat plausible that this is how Neal might feel about some of his options.

The poster doesn't mention Oklahoma at all. Neal hasn't officially eliminated them, has he? Last I heard he hadn't even decided whether he was visiting them or not. Personally I'd be kind of surprised if he ended up at Oklahoma; I counted five wide receivers in their 2012 class, plus a WR-sized athlete.

Only reason UNC is really in play is because of his grandmother, otherwise I have not heard a thing about them.

In other words, I think the post is mostly garbo.

Well you have to consider the source ... I was more interested in what the post says about the other schools Davonte is interested in.

I have all the optimism .... but the old Florida coach is courting him like a 15 year old on Prom night. OSU seems to have the edge right now. Would like to see him under a gold hard hat though!!!!
