Disappointed we missed out on a promising player like Greenberry, but I'm excited about the guys we've got. This just means Chris Brown definitely plays outside instead of the slot and Russell definitely plays slot instead of RB. Still a great class for offensive skill.

Which probably would have happened anyways with the addition of Carlisle. Deontay hurts from a depth/competition/he's extremely talent standpoint, but we aren't left w/ a bare cupboard because of missing out on him.

What pisses me off the most is that he changed without telling the coaches and did it on the last possible day. We could have Atleast offered Raph Andrades if he changed even 2 days ago.

So seriously though, did he get his money in a shoe box or like a red velvet cache? Who knows but he is dirty... And to everyone who said its crossing the line to talk about the kid maybe taking money get off your soapbox. They offered him money and he took it---"the academics at Houston were a determining factor", yeah O K A Y

I agree it shows real immaturity in my opinion. Don't give me the "he's only a kid excuse either". I was being recruited to play college basketball and had fallen in love with a school and it's coaches and had told them i was likely going to be attending that school. However my parents wanted me to wait until I visted my final school. I flipped (not on the last day FYI) and called the other schools coaches and told them about my decision and why. I ended up facing them twice a year every year and had no problem looking them in the eyes when greeting them because I knew I handle the situation like an adult.

LOL. If you knew anything about Houston, we don't have any money to give. People here have just started to support the program agian since our SWC days.

It's good to see our program finally having some success again.

The Irish will be fine and gaining or loosing one recruit is not going to break you.

And do remember these are 18 year old kids. Nobody knows what goes on in there heads on making decisions. My teenager changes his mind at evertime you turn around.

Good Luck to the Coogs and the Irish hopefully we can play each other in a meaningful bowl game again sometime.

I told all my LSU friends down here in Bayou Country that I was thrilled to get Gunner, although I wish he had informed them a little differently , but was nevertheless thrilled. Had no sympathy for them losing the tackle that wanted to EE and flipped to Auburn because THEY OVERSIGNED. That is not the case here. I wish he would have informed us sooner because we don't OVERSIGN and therefore lose out on another guy like a Ralph Andrades. I am not going to accuse him of anything improper because I have zero proof or even rumor of it but it was a very immature move. I agree with Kuehnja I hope after he is done getting his 100 yards against Tulane and UAB, he puts it on NBC to watch Tee shut things down on a national platform.

As in, just show up to football and the rest is taken care of.

Can we just close this thread. Nothing, absolutely nothing good is coming out of this thread.

We all feel like the jilted bride, however the wedding is over and there is nothing any of us or Kelly can do to get him to ND.

Was his timing bad? Yes. Could he have handled it better? Yes. Should we all act like adults? YES.

As Kelly said in his presser today. "These are 17-18 year old TEENAGERS. The future to a teenager is the weekend or maybe tommorrow."

Let's close this thread down.

These kids don't think far into the future. So, don't blame them for all this stuff.

Good luck DGB.

I think we should close this thread down for good and open up a 2013 recruit thread for this upcoming cycle. ND is done for the year, aside from Davonte Neal but now time to get excited up this upcoming class which people are saying is deeper then this years.

Agree 100 percent. I was pissed beyond belief earlier. Time to look forward to the blue Gold-Game. I bet BK is in his car jamming out to this. On To the Next One- Jay-Z - YouTube

What is the over/under on how many days until he realizes how big of a mistake he made today? Because that day is coming. Its one of the unfortunate side effects of throwing your life away on a whim.

To him, Dorial Green-Beckham, yes. I hope he has great luck at Missouri. I hope he becomes the next Calvin Johnson.

I say this summer when he sees Tee again in Cali. Tee wearing ND swag and is one semester into banking the rest of his life whether it's in the real world or pro football. And everyone is like who is the guy wearing a Houston Cougars cowboy hat.

Who cares about this kid? Took the easy way out. His choice, not ours. Let's enjoy the team we have. They could be pretty good really soon.

If this kid is spineless enough not to tell our coaches ahead of time then most likely he will be a failure in life anyways so who wants him? Good riddence.

Chris Brown is going to make everybody forget about Greenberry real fast. I have been talking this kid up for months. Complete baller. HE will be BKs Marty Gilyard and then some at ND. It is great to have an athletic huge red zone threat that catches everything in sight like Greenberry or Michael Floyd, but a WR corps full of fast, shifty guys who are electric with the ball in their hands are what make BKs offense extremely dangerous. How many underneath crossing routes did we see this year where our WRs, including floyd picked up 10-12 yards but did not have that next gear to turn the corner and take it to the house...well Chris Brown has that next gear, and the acceleration to make people look silly.

Amen. Cheers.

Think we can close this thread soon. I think it's a moot point and now that everyone has had this sink in, would like to focus on the next recruiting cycle with their own Who is Next type thread considering it is a much deeper class then this previous one. It isn't to take away from this group but time to get excited again.

Houston Fan: "At least he can go to Paris instead of Ireland."

ND Fan: "True...wait, you mean Paris, Texas." Laughing, "D@mn, that's like going to Dublin, Ohio."

I don't understand why he signed today. He didn't have to, he should have waited a few days maybe a week to get off the high of a visit and see if that was really what he wanted.

Cute. Dublin, Ireland is way overrated though. Many other places I would go back to again before there.

Its one thing to decide to go elsewhere. Plenty of recruits will tell you ND is the classiest and will wish you well. But to wait until the last minute and not even man-up and call the coaches......
Not ND material

Good riddance...... we'll be fine without you
