I know what you're saying, but not for me...they play different positions and I want them both, badly. If you saw the BCS game last night, defense won those games. We need as many playmakers as we can on that side of the ball, which has really been lacking at ND the past decade. Just look at how one playmaker - Te'o - has helped change our defense. Imagine guys like Lynch, Tuitt, AND Ishaq...to go along with Councell and Rabasa and Shembo etc? Sick.

But it doesn't look good as it once did for Ishaq. If he doesn't pick the Irish, i agree with the others in wishing the kid good luck. He and his family seem like class acts.

South Bend Tribune: Notre Dame football recruiting: Defensive standout Ishaq Williams still mulling options

1/11/2011 9:17PM

Per SBT Williams is still mulling over ND, SYR, and PSU. They rely on a New York Post interview with the Ishaq's father.

"At this point, everyone is equal," Shaun Williams, Ishaq's father, told the New York Post.

...
"It's not something we want to do. I wish we could've picked a school by now, but I think we're going about it the right way. It's a process."

According to his father a decision may not be made until NSD which for rule out Early Entrance for the Spring Semester anywhere.

I agree that they are going about it the right way. It would be great to have him in Blue and Gold by now, but so often we forget that this is a life-changing decision for these guys.
Hope he comes to ND, but wish him luck regardless. Class-act family over there.

Took a look at his Facebook page last night. It's littered with ND fans telling him to come to ND. so much so that his REAL FRIENDS are writing for them to just leave him alone and go away. The majority of comments are ND and some Cuse. Didn't see any PSU.

I sure hope he isn't turned off on ND because of all that.....

That's so annoying. I don't know why players even let fans friend them or write on their walls.

Anyone who doesn't personally know a recruit and is writing on their FB page is an A$$. If its public, reading posts or status updates is fine, but if you comment on a recruit's page, i hope Tony Alford finds you and punches you in the throat.

I would like to give those kind of ND fans a virtual slap upside the head for writing on recruits' walls. THEY ARE TEENAGERS. leave them the hell alone. you are not going to influence their decision.

Besides, Ishaq looks like the kind of kid you might irritate with all this crap.

I agree with you, but he can make his page private by invite only. Then he doesn't have to deal with all of the bull****. I don't even have an account, but that is what I have heard. Sometimes, these kids want the attention. I wish him the best, it is the toughest decision he has probably made to this point.

I would bet good money that those are not ND fans doing that. I would bet that it's PSU fans acting as ND fans....to turn him away. ND has more class then that.

If the kid wants to come here he will ..if he does not then O WELL...MOVE ON!

I think Facebook is the worst thing to ever happen to recruiting for Notre Dame. Having our retarded stupid fans writing on their pages and such is an absolute joke. Get a life.

I think it is a combination of a handful of ND Fans...meaning well- however hurting the cause. Also, some jackwagons trying to make ND look bad....

Ishaq is a very smart kid...he will base his decision on solid facts...not some ill advised FB crap....

Thank you PLAC,

And I hope this didn't come across as me trying to enrage everyone on here about the whole Facebook issue, I guess I was just expressing my worries and hoping the possible annoyance of it all won't push him in either direction. But like one poster said, ishaq seems to be a very smart kid and will be making this decision for the right reasons .

I'll be the first to admit that I do not advocate adults becoming facebook friends with HS players for recruiting purposes. Personally, I'd be really embarrassed if I were one of those people. What kind of life do you lead?

Keep in mind through all of these developments, Ishaq's father said that a part of the appeal of ND is the potential for his son to become a household name. He'll have to deal with fans at some point.

I'm sure that if Ishaq has a problem with any of this that he'll bring it up to BK and it will get handled. In Kelly I trust.

I agree with everyone that has said to leave Ishaq alone on facebook. Let him make his own decision, as it is already a tough decision for him. He and his family are class acts and they deserve to be treated with respect. Anyways, I know a ND writer from the SBT and he has said that "I think Ishaq would like to know what Lynch is doing. The dad loves ND. But we'll see if the kid does."

Do you think if Lynch comes then Ishaq comes or if Lynch comes Ishaq wont or what?
