It does appear he's serious about Arizona. Last visit. Maybe paying his own way. This business about picking a favorite and then going to Arizona. But unless he wants to stay close to home, it just seems like he could do better.
That AZ Republic story was pretty encouraging, though.

Scottsdale to Tucson is about a 1.5 hour drive. Straight shot down the I-10.

So it's fair to say he's very close to U of A.

Can anybody tell me why Neal is waiting until after NSD to choose a school? Is it possible that OSU is the favorite, but he is waiting to see what Diggs does before he makes a decision?

I think he could in to ND as a freshman and realistically compete right away for punt return duties and playing time in the slot behind Toma.

Its possible sure, bit its not the reason. He started his recruitment process after hisHS season and has said from day 1 that he wants to take all 5 visits and make a choice. his visits, because they started so late, just happen to run past nsd. I wouldn't read into it, he's got a plan and you have to admire his commitment to it. To turn down OSU on the spot tells me this decision is going to be a very well informed decision.

Not the point. When did I ask him to reveal his source? My point is that Davonte and his Dad have both clearly stated he hasn't made a decision and he is very likely to take at least 1 and maybe 2 more visits. Farrel's tweet is no better than me going on Twitter and saying "hey guys "sources" are saying Davonte likely ends up at OSU." It's the likely outcome and so chances are he'll look good and be right.

Nothing is close to done yet.

Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) football coach Bob Milloy said that wide receiver Stefon Diggs is unlikely to sign on Wednesday, the first day of the national letter of intent period for football.

Diggs, a 6-foot, 185-pound receiver who was a member of the All-USA first team , had 36 catches for 808 yards and scored 13 touchdowns this season.

"I think he is a little confused right now," Milloy said. "He's got a little bit of a decision to make. He just got back from a visit to Ohio State."

Diggs' most prominent pursuers include Auburn, California, Florida, Maryland and Ohio State.

He is ranked No. 8 overall prospect in the country by Rivals.com.

He spoke with Luke Neal this week and he would be absolutely shocked if Neal signs today. Luke Neal was very clear that they have a lot to discuss and that they want to take more visits. Neal also indicated that the OSU speculation has been slightly overblown because of their family in the area.

Not to say that OSU is not a favorite; it very much is. It's just that Luke Neal thinks people leap to conclusions about Davonte's signing there because of the family connections in Ohio. Also, let's not get too excited about parent comments ... if we went by parent comments Brian Poole would be Irish.
