interesting read - Dad says distance will not be a factor, stressed it is a 42 month decision for the next 40 years. Playing time important and that favors ND. Before the visit - 60/40 Florida, not it is 55/45 Florida. Florida visits today and they will decide as a family over the weekend.

So Florida leads with their head coach coming in for a visit? #hopessquashed

Hopefully when they talk it over after Florida visits, something clicks and it has to do with a shamrock.

Eh, if they're still maintaining that Florida leads, I don't see a ton of hope to hang on to.

He's committed to Florida... what do you expect him to say?

This is what I expected him to say (that Florida still leads). I was hoping they'd say something like "we have a lot to think about and we're going to sit down and talk it over before making a final decision", without giving away that he's still a Florida lean with a head coach in-home from the Gators on deck.

Like I said, hopefully something clicks when they talk it over after the visit. Tee, get on it!

Ronald Darby is still a solid Nd commit.
That is what he said before he decommitted right?

His son wants to go to Fl. so at this point what do you expect him to say? Our staff has impressed them. I think Florida shoots themselves in the foot on the visit. Mr.Poole knows exactly why he wants his son to go to Notre Dame and all of the advantages we have will be brought up on the Fl visit. Florida cannot compete with Notre Dame when comparing the two on a 40 year playing field. So imho the florida visit is to our advantage and brings clarity to Brian.

Darby didn't say he was solid to ND right before he decommitted. He went silent for a while. That report just came out and it says he's still 55/45 Florida with their head coach on deck. I want him to be Irish too, but I'm not addicted to the kool-aid.

Maybe it was misrepresented and he's not a Florida lean. Could happen. Better?

Agree with TT - if they are truely considering switching, I think it would come out after the Florida visit today.

The tone of that article is completely different than what you're representing. Maybe you should dish out the $$ and read it before trying to bring doom and gloom to the board. It's not about drinking the Kool-aide - there was some real positives in that article. Especially considering his family seems to be firmly in ND's corner, his odds of going to FL dropped after meeting (despite just returning from FL), and there are no worries about distance with the family.

Darby was 98% committed to ND...now he's 0 percent committed. Poole was "all-Gator" just a couple of weeks ago, and now is 55/45. That's good news, especially the way it's trending.

He might not be Irish, but that has nothing to do with the article and you trying to bring nothing but gloom to it. Fact is, it's trending the right way...

Remember when Bennett Okotcha said he was 60/40 Irish after an 11th hour offer from Oklahoma? Then flipped 2 days later? Just sayin'....

I prefer to base my opinion on facts rather than tone or mood, and you're right, I'm not a member, so I was just commenting on the summary that the poster wrote on here, which involved the numbers (60/40 to 55/45) and the fact that we're finished with our visits and Muschamp is on-deck.

If I ruined anybody's day, I apologize, lol. You're right though, Poole's recruitment is headed in the right direction. Fingers crossed.

And about the bolded comment:

I thought I was going to see a gif of him saying "I'm a man. I'm 40." lol

Why do people think he's flipping?

He just uploaded a photo of him doing the Gator Chomp with the Florida staff.

While I do think Poole goes to UF.

Aaron Lynch did do the "FSU Tomahawk thing" during the Army All-American game, and flipped to us, what? a week after or so? Too lazy to look up lol.
