Forgive me if I sound stupid here, but serious question: How come Lupoi carries so much weight with recruits? I understand he might be a good recruiter, might be really good at convincing recruits to go to Cal, but what's so special about him that makes a recruit completely blow up his decision just because he won't be there? I would understand if it were the head coach, but what exactly was Lupoi? A mid-level assistant coach? Does he really form such good relationships with the players that they base the next 4 years of their life on the fact that they'll be with him? I just don't get how him leaving has such an effect on all these recruits.

I'm not denying that it's happening, and I'm not saying I don't love it, I'm just saying I don't get it.

I think Keith is confusing normal ND policy with what ND would be willing to do in this case. A normal student can drop add until the end or the registration period, so they would not be crossing any lines.

The scuttlebutt on twitter from some Cal fans seems to indicate they think Arik's going to Notre Dame.

im sure its more of a local thing, since he can easily visit the games and talk to players. He probably been in contact with most of the cali kids for 2 years if not a little more. Hes been the main guy these kids have talked to for that period of time.

thats conflicting because a report a little while ago said it was down to Aub and ND

I was just providing the summary requested. But to your point, Papa Armstead told 247 that Cal is out, but Arik told them that Cal is not out yet.

I went to Mass this morning, and did my usual prayer to Notre Dame. It's paying off. She works in mysterious ways.

Armond also said his decision will be based entirely on where his brother Arik wants to play. I would expect they play somewhere together.

We absolutely lead by a LOT over Auburn for Arik before his visit. No idea if things have changed since then, as I last heard from him was before he went on the visit. I also know nothing beyond what has been reported by normal premium mods for Armond.

neato, is there a way to turn them off by chance?...not trying to hijack this thread but Jesus images are the last thing i want to see when looking for info on arik armstead....

Did Armond go to Auburn? Because if he is choosing where Arik goes i feel its ND since he was just here both him and Arik sound like they loved ND and the only things he knows about Auburn is what Arik told him.
