Tony Alford in the building. I was a little early on the meeting, but it will happen soon. Alford walked up to the Armstead's with Booker. Arik gave Booker a big bear hug.

And I need to change my shorts.

Just my two cents... If he wanted to go to Cal, wouldnt he have committed by now?

If he wanted to go to Notre Dame, wouldn't he have committed by now?

I'm struggling to understand the difference.

Committing to Cal would have been "easier." He's from Cali, he has lots of friends who would prefer that, etc. Who knows what the reality is. Just people's hunches.

The Army All-America game was a cascade of Cal commits. He didn't partake with his friends at literally the perfect moment.

That means he isn't a Cal lock and is seriously considering Notre Dame.

All his pals committed during the all star game. I would assume he would do it with them if he was a going to Cal. Who knows, just looks like this class could finish big.

Adding both Armsteads and Amir would be amazing just for the talent, but the big "F-you" to USC might be even better :)

Seriously. Essentially three USC snags in such a short time. I would love it. Good God I love this staff.

Hopefully the team starts to take on the personality of Brian Kelly and his staff. He does not back down to anybody. I think we start to see some glimpses of that in the team this year, although still a sloppy year overall. BK may be a bit arrogant in PCs, etc but he's got the balls to go out and fight and back it up...our previous coach talked the talk...but that was about it.

I have to believe that these recruits see this too. I have read and seen in interviews from so many kids that comment on how relentless our staff is, and it leaves them thinkin like "damn they really want me". Hopefully the Armsteads see the same. They would be flat out awesome additions to the size, athleticism and skill influx like nothing we have seen at ND in a LONG time!

C'mon ARIK, join the ND family!

This staff was one [admittedly vital] playmaker and one injury [Jonas] away from being able to give everybody in the country all they wanted in their second year with completely new systems and severe personnel problems in some areas. Put Zach Collaros and Isiah Pead in that backfield and what's that offense like?? Add a couple of players of the stature of Arik Armstead to an already "fun" bunch of offense destroyers, and where's that defense going to be?? Holy mackerel they're getting close. Young studs like Arik Armstead who are intelligent and from intelligent families are seeing that.

I've just been lurking the past few days...and damn you guys have been entertaining.
Thanks for brightening an otherwise dark and depressing time of the year for this guy.

Anyone see the post by biggins on espn - granted it could be all bs - Basically the dad does a bunch of talking about Cal and Ore and that Arik will make his own decision regardless of Armond goes and they are trying to get to Auburn for a visit for how hard he was recruited by them all year. Did have nice things to say about ND and Kelly says he will not be o-line and that Arik plans to still enroll early - so we have what - a week at the most to get this resolved?
