From what I've read, from an NCAA perspective you are not "bound" (i.e., such that you must sit out a year if you then go to a different school) until you attend your first class. But even if that's true, obviously a very positive sign that he's now taken whatever steps are required to be listed in the student directory.

I'm trying to figure out why we still question him? He only said 9 million times he's going to ND. Now he's in the student directory, in all likeliness he will be in class in a couple weeks. I think the bigger thing is June is a long time away for his cousin to be just sitting and "thinking" about things.

I agree, but I am not worried about Deontay. If Tee is in class, DGB is locked. He isn't going to go somewhere else without Tee.

I don't think anyone is questioning him, just kinda tying a loose end. Even though some of you say just because you are listed in the directory doesn't mean you are a lock to be going there, I know it is for Tee. I agree he is 100% ND I was just asking a question that never really was answered a few days ago.

People are still uneasy because he seems to hang out a lot with Ed O for a 100% lock. Once Tee tells other schools to stop contacting him, people will get comfortable. It not that anyone doubts his intentions, its just that Ed O. and company know what they are doing. That's why we know who they are.

While I am cautiously optimistic about all of our recruits right now, the only one's that I feel certain about are Mahone, Day, Daly, Jones, and Harrell. I don't know enough about a lot of the 3 stars to know if any could leave. WIts not uncommon to lose one.

As far as Tee and Greenberry are concerned, I think they are coming and keep my fingers crossed.

I try not to think about Darby, getting him with Tee would just be outstanding: Tuitt and Lynch pt. 2.

Yep, and Eddie O would not only be at Tee's house at 4am but I wouldn't put it past him having a USC tent and flag in his front yard!!!

I think this is what he and Kiffin tried the other day. Didn't work, apparently.

Big difference between being a good salesman and a good liar... It seems that kids are starting to learn the difference.

It is so ironic that the thing that makes Tee a favorite of so many ND fans, that in the human spirit which soars, is so absent from this thread . . .

I'm not going to lie.....I'll be soo excited when Tee starts classes in South Bend, and this whole watching his every move of every second of the day can stop. He's without a doubt, my favorite recruit this class, and not from a football standpoint, he's overcome so much in life to get to where he's at, and for people to question his every thought after he's repeatedly stated that he and Tay B are 100% Irish has got to be tiresome. I don't have to go through what he's going through, and I'm damned tired of it.

Not even worried about Tee anymore. He'll be on campus soon enough. Legit 5 star stud that knows he can come in and compete for PT right away. He's married to the Irish...

does anyone know for sure if "T'ajani Jer-Ray Shepard" is his birth name? Makes sense he'd use Tee then, it'd take me to the 5th grade to remember how to spell my name correctly

I call B.S. on anyone claiming that there's a better corner this year than Tee Shepard. When the evaluators at an all-star game say that you NEVER got beaten, NEVER sounds like "perfect" to me.

Tee Shepard has the potential to be one of the most significant Notre Dame defensive recruits in recent memory [yes, Te'o and Lynch are in there; big Lou Nix, too]. The reason is that he has the potential to create the already speculated-upon "Shepard Island". That sort of voiding out of part of the opponents' Offense is game-changing before the teams even take the field. The enemy OC says "That's a guy who deserves a good leavin' alone". Diaco says, "blitzes just became a he!l of a lot easier, and I can double team the other side of the field". That's what "Revis Island" did for the Jets.

Sure I know that it's a lot to imagine for a young man who hasn't played yet, but EVERYBODY's gob-smacked at how Tee covers. This is not a completely fantastic scenario. If Ronald BLUUURRRRRRRR comes along to hold down the other side of the field, well, wow ---- Lynch, Tuitt, Williams, et al running wild with nobody open; nightmares for the opponent OC.

For those on the board who refuse to acknowledge such possibilities, well, that is a bit sad.

You are wrong! Go look up Tracy Howard.
Howard is the clear cut #1 corner with Tee behind him.

I thought you were in love with Poole? Or maybe it was Howard, I can't remember lol.

ND has verbals from 2 of the top 5 CBs (Shepard and Darby) and a good shot at a 3rd top-5 CB (Wright), yet Sherm has a hard-on for the only two that aren't interested in/ committed to ND (Poole and Howard).

From the all-star game reviews, it sounds like Darby is a beast.

I watched the entire game and Darby was the fastest guy on the field. No question. He also batted down two passes and stripped Richardson (scUM verbal). He was awesome.

I didn't get to see Tee play in his game, but it sounds like it was more of the same. We have two very talented guys coming in at corner. I wouldn't trade the Tee/Darby combo for any other combo. Yes... that includes a Poole/THoward.

Sorry Sherm...

Sigh. You always want what you can't have, and you don't know what you got till its gone.

Marvin Bracy is faster.

Well... that's... like.... your opinion, man...

Throughout the whole game, Darby was playing at a different speed than everyone.. including Bracy. Marvin is indeed a world class sprinter, but track speeds doesn't equal game speed.

Umm, duh, it is my opinion.

Darby is insanely fast. But, did you see that insane move Bracy used to cut right between three of those defenders? It showed incredible acceleration and speed.
