In this ESPN video, top recruits are asked what was the worst recruiting pitch they heard. Recruiting no longer business as usual - ESPN

Starting at the 12 second mark in that video, Cayleb Jones says that a coach told him that the school's dorms are five minutes from the Playboy Mansion. From using Google maps, UCLA is the closest university to the Playboy Mansion.

Well when it's the only pitch you have.. but seriuosly it is funny how you can almost tell what school they are talking about. Also I could not help but to notice how uneducated the Florida commits sounded, do they know Urban went to Ohio State?

For example, I doubt Nelson Agholor's parents would be too pleased.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about UCLA. USC isn't even listed with an offer, however UCLA is. Also the playboy mansion is a 30 min. drive from USC, but is literally 5 minutes from UCLA

I would hardly call this libel. If I was a school in LA, I would be selling the glamor of the region too. Why go to... Syracuse (for example) and look forward to four years of house parties and snow storms when you could live in LA and party at the playboy mansion? Sounds like a good pitch to me.

Some recruiting tactics, while within the rules, border on bizarre -- like the coach who told Texas-committed receiver Cayleb Jones he could go to school five minutes from the Playboy Mansion, a thinly veiled suggestion about whom he might meet on the way to class.

I'll bet they mentioned the great NFL prep USC provides for players drafted by Detroit.
