I'm sorry but I was born in SoCal grew up in Northern Indiana. I have been Irish since I can remember, but had I ever been given the option of visiting USC as a recruit I would have done it in a second. That doesn't mean the kid wants to play there.

It's also possible that the "may only" is referring only to the unofficial part of the statement.

It's possible that they are saying he is definitely coming, but it "may only" be an unofficial visit as opposed to an official visit.

It's hard to tell exactly what they are implying.

He is definitely not underrated anymore. Just on the outside of 5 star status on Scout and is ranked the #4 WR on 24/7.

Good points. I normally look on Rivals (where he is listed as the #10 receiver). Most of the year it seemed that, due to the fact that he flew under the radar early, they were hesitant to bump him up as aggressively as his performance warranted. 247 and Scout seem to have gotten the memo. Rivals has improved his ranking but I still think he might deserve a higher ranking.

Fun fact- on rivals they say that he reminds them of Larry Fitzgerald. Awesome.

Staff plans an in-home with Greenberry after Tee arrives on campus. If there's any doubts, they'll probably be erased with the in-home.

No question Greenberry fits the part of so many remarkably athletic receivers who have flowed through the Land of Troy for years. The latest, All-American Robert Woods, chewed up the Irish to the tune of 12 receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-17 win at South Bend, Ind., on Oct. 22.

NOTE: He noted in an on camera interview a long time ago that his family wants him to go to USC. I'm not just speculating here.

So USC reporters just lie all the time? I mean seriously, they make up so much **** on the regular but I usually just turn a blind eye because they have to earn a paycheck and therefor tell people what they want to hear....

but numerous USC guys a couple weeks ago "confirmed" that he had already unofficially visited once. Whatever. Don't know I even bother paying attention until NSD sometimes.

I thought his championship game was in the USC area and so that is what makes this visit convenient.

Update says that Deontay is only visiting because he'll be down in LA. He DID last visit USC on Nov. 26 for an unofficial visit and Lane Kiffin is putting the full-court press on trying to sway him to the Trojans.

Tee is 100% solid and can't wait to get to ND and room with Sheldon Day. This is going to be a battle of Lane Kiffin selling Deontay on BS lines like "be your own man" and his family pushing him to USC (at least they were months ago, don't know if that's stopped but I'd doubt it).

The fact of the matter is after Tee transferred to Deontay's high school and had to sit out a whole year it'd be really crappy for him to break off playing with him in college now after all of that. But I don't doubt that Deontay is intrigued and that is why he's stopping by to say "hey."
