Someone mentioned on that FB fan page (Bang Bang Notre Dame Gang!) that we were going after Poole and Pittman and Darby posts there frequently. I am sure he just saw that and went and asked him to be friends.

Did you guys know Poole Sr. was from Ft. Wayne? Supposedly parents are pro ND and visit with Alford went well... would be absolutely sick to complete the class with Poole and Rios. Any of Shephard, Darby, Rios and especially Poole can also play safety. And we all know the staff prefers to run with a solid rotation of 3 CBs like they did last year with Walls so there is PLENTY of early PT to go around.

Just for fun, think about this lineup of people with frosh/soph eligibility moving forward:

Lynch 5:s:--Jarron Jones 5:s:--Stephon Tuitt 5:s:

Ben Councell 4:s:--Anthony Rabasa 4:s:--Jarrett Grace 4:s:--Ishaq Williams 5:s:

Darby 5:s:--Poole 5:s:--Baratti 4:s:--Shephard 5:s:

And for brevity's sake I'm not even putting in 4:s: guys like Sheldon Day, Troy Niklas, Louis Nix (who will be a soph eligibility wise), etc.. Big Lou played like a freaking 6:s: this year too for his first year of action.

I told you all that Poole's family loves ND and especially loves Alford. I really think ND steals him from Florida.

In home visit went well. Mom and Grandma sat in. The Poole family is looking at the depth charts but wants to get to know Kerry Cooks better. Per II.

Sitting well here.

Our depth at DB wouldn't even scare me off. Fingers crossed.

One of Florida's DBs, Josh Shaw, just transferred. He's listed as a safety, but that could shake up UF's depth in the defensive backfield.

No way I didn't know that! Do you remember that kids recruitment? He was an early ND lean and stated ND was his dream school. The kid blew up during camps and totally dismissed ND in the fall. Where did he transfer to?

UF also has a high chance of landing Tracy Howard.

Said he wants to move closer to home. Nothing yet on schools as far as I know.

In a way, it reminds me of TJ Davis.

Thought this was a cool pic. Would absolutely love it if Brian and Nelson decided to come to ND...

Florida's DB depth is not exactly something to write home about either. They offer early playing time as well. I think it's important for guys like Tee and Darby to get in touch with him and bond. Having the parents in ND's corner is never a bad thing. They obviously support him moving away from home.

When recruits start talking about "the best DB class in the country" it makes the decision a little easier.

I wonder if bringing in Rios first would scare him off?

From reading different recruiting sites and listening to different "recruiting gurus" talk about him, he is the most physical corner in this class. Would be a stud finish to this DB class.

I am curious of this as well. Geno Smith certaintly didn't like that we already had 2 excellent corners commited when he was deciding (even though I don't think he would have ever came here anyways).

Him and Tracy Howard are right there in physicality. I really see Poole playing safety if he ends up at ND.

Who are these 4 left to right? Is that Nelson on the left? If Poole is 5'11" as listed on the front page, it seems short for safety, no? I don't doubt that he has the skill to do it.

Agholor (ND;)) - Poole (Florida) - Fowler (FSU) - Da'Quan Bowers (Former Clemson DE now Tampa Bay Bucs)

well, I just saw this photo on ESPN page, so I now know who is who. Our other 3 verbals at safety are all listed at 6'2". I'm not sure he fits a profile for Safety at ND. Doesn't mean it can't happen, but it would go against the grain.
