Lol first he is getting fired and now he is just going to leave on his own?!

He laughed at these rumors to day and said that he will be at UGA for as long as they will have him.

UGA fans think Trooper Taylor and Kirby Smart are behind the rumors haha.

This.

I would be stunned if Richt went anywhere on his own. He has an extremely good team coming back next year.

IF he were to step down, things could get interesting with Marshall and Theus.

Maybe some more guys tested positi...er, I mean violated a team rule. And with games coming up against rival Georgia Tech and the SEC championship, the suspensions won't occur until 2012.

Rumors swirling that Richt will leave at the end of the year. No truly reliable sources but could be interesting?

Georgia football coach Mark Richt rumored to be leaving

I am suppose to believe this guy?! An "off and on" sports editor for a gambling website?

There is nothing on the ajc.com under UGA. And they are pretty good about reporting stories.

I know that we don't like to rely on twitter, but I think this is a pretty encouraging tweet from Keith: "That akward moment when everyone knows where your going but your not even done deciding yet .." Sure, he might be a UGA lean, but by no means is he a lock

Mark Richt: Help wanted at RB position …are you listening, Keith Marshall? | AJC College Sports Recruiting

Richt's latest comments suggest that he does not see KM to UGA as a done deal.

Marshall would be such a great fit for ND, I hope Kelly and Co. can convince him.

One thing is for sure, Coach Hinton kept up his end of the bargain: Jonas and Cierre really showed what a stud RB can do in this system. Just imagine what its going to be like when the QB situation gets where it needs to be.

It's pathetic that he's practically begging Marshall to pick Georgia... He might as well have said "If there's a top RB in the nation with a name that rhymes with Meith Karshall, he should be a Dawg!"..

I am not expecting KM to ND. The kid seems to have a connection with Richt, and Richt is, by all accounts an incredibly good guy who will remain at UGA for at least one more year.

So you can certainly play the odds, which seem to be strongly in UGA's favor, but when both Richt and Marshall seem to think Marshall is still in play, I am going to consider him still in play. Add that to the fact that we are in strong position to get Gunner and I think the conversation is a little different than it was just after USC.

We have a ton going for us. We are building for championships. He is a perfect fit for the offense and will have an opportunity to play from Day 1. He is a spiritual kid, and ND fosters that attitude.

I am prone to delusion, so I still hold out hope that he chooses Notre Dame.

My rational side says it's impossible.

I know man i'd love to have a speed back for those USC games...

It's pretty neat that our offense can move the ball pretty effectively with a limited quarterback and little elite speed. Makes me pretty excited to see an offense with speed and a dynamic signal-caller.

Marshall would be a perfect fit, but alas, God is cruel.

I'm with you and then I remember Manti's commitment!!! Everything is possible in recruiting and there are tons of examples of sure things which surprised everyone.

Situation reminds me a lot of Ray Drew...he may say he's open, but like most of us knew he was always all Georgia.

Yes, but unlike Drew he actually visited and showed legit interest in ND. We'll see what happens as we have seen stranger things in recruiting.

I am still holding out some hope. But, when it comes to ND Football recruiting, I am a gluten for punishment.
I do expect him to be UGA. But if Richt doesn't win big the next couple of years he is gone. It helped Georgia to not play LSU. Alabama or Arkansas during the regular season. They will get trounced in the SEC Championship game. If they lose their bowl game, the heat will be back on. Hence, the Richt begging.
The Drew comparison might just put me over the edge.

I've got a question for you guys, a tough one because of our obvious bias to ND.

Let's say Keith has a great college career, say 4500 yards and maybe 40 TD's (pick your own numbers, I assumed 3 years). If he has those at Notre Dame or Georgia, where will that career have the most impact?

With my bias, at Georgia he will be another of a lot of good backs. That would be the 2nd all time leading rusher there but way behind Herschel Walker obviously.

At Notre Dame, he would be the leading all time rusher. How many people , besides us, know who Autry Denson or Allen Pinkett are, our current two leaders.

He would be a legend here, he would be behind Walker there.

Of course if I'm him, I'm thinking I will kick Herscchel Walker's butt! LOL

Depends on BCS bowl wins during his time. He could be a legend either place with his skill level.

Let's not forget that we'll probably be able to get an in-home visit with him before he makes his decision, we all know what can happen on those.......

@willywavessvoxo @truthh4 Seriously. This team is just a few players short of being very good. #NotreDame
