I still think he could play on the edge. If you watch some of his film they have him lined up on the edge more then half the time.

If he were this years class I would agree with you. Penn State has a chance to hire a big name for next year still.

Yeah, and new coaches can always use the line "I need my kind of guys in here, guys like you. Once we do, we will win championships together." Ya know, crap like that.

Penn State has such a terrible cloud hanging over the program. This is going to last a while. It's not going to change with a new coaching hire. Believe that.

Who would want to go to Penn State now, even if they hired someone like Urban Meyer? This program's done for the next decade.

I don't think the stigma is going to be as bad as you think when it comes to sports as much as some think it will if they can make the right hire.

First off anyone with any connection to this events will go, so there will be a complete house cleaning. What they have to do next is hire from outside, no connections to Joe Pa and PSU.

So what if comes down to is if they can get an elite coach and one with no connections to the program and if that can be done, then it's not going to be a good thing for ND.

The real question is can they get an elite coach? So if Urban Myer ended up the PSU coach there would be no problem getting talent there.

As long as there is no connection to the last regime then there will be next to no stigma for recruits because it's not about the name of the physical place it's the people that are the problem and as long as there not there most won't care.

Lawsuits and inquiries into the program are going to continue for a while. This isn't just going away. Parents aren't going to want to send their kids there.

why would urban go to psu? that makes no sense to me at all

$$

And it's a big name job. It always will be. Urban is a media whore and PSU will have a ton of attention there for the next few years. They have unreal fan support as you've already seen. The Big10 is winnable every year. Oh yea, $$.

Do I personally think Urban will go to PSU, no. But there are a few million reasons to make him think about it.

Why go there when he can go to ohio st. or had the chance to Coach at ND

I'm not saying he will go there. As matter of fact, I said I don't think he will. All I'm saying is that there are a few million reasons why he would consider it. Ohio State just got hit with a failure to monitor, and Penn State just got hit with the worst off the field scenario in college football. Neither one of them seem like great options at this point. I just have a feeling both will be looking to make a big splash with a high profile coaching hire.

I think Penn State would do themselves well if they were able to land Al Golden.

Sorry for getting off topic in this young man's thread. Back to Adam.

Breneman takes in scene at PSU - Football Recruiting - East Region Blog - ESPN

Was at the Penn State-Nebraska game this weekend

“It was one of the best atmospheres I’ve been at,” Breneman said. “Everything has been negative about Penn State, but being there Saturday gave me a lot of positives to think about, too.”

From a recruiting standpoint, Breneman showed up late to campus and didn’t have much time to talk with the coaching staff. Breneman realizes that it is unlikely the entire staff will be back next season, and he didn’t put much stock in the Lions’ use of the tight end – which was minimal.

Final visit this season next week to Michigan St.

Saw Adam play tonight against my high school. His team lost 35-32 and hes the real deal. He's faster then linebackers and too big for safetys. In my opinion he reminds me of Brent Celek and Kyle Rudolph.

Really liked MSU. The "note" Sapp elludes to is just that he isn't going anywhere unless mama approves. Implying that we already know momma approves of ND.

I like our chances against MSU for a top TE.

Back on 8/30/11 His coach said “They’ve told me he’s going to be their number one recruit in the tight end category and that they weren’t going to recruit another kid next year to leave the door open for him,”

Were we telling his coach that they wouldn't recruit another tight end in this cycle or in the 2013 cycle?

Are we going to pass on McNamara as long as we get good vibes with Breneman?

I did see that we offered another tight end Heurman in the 2013 cycle.

feel good about landing him especially if we don't take one this year...eifert staying one more year will only help our chances.
