I think anything is possible with him and Shaq. The atmosphere should be incredible and the number of highly touted recruits will just add to that. It's very possible that these two will fall in love with ND and commit soon afterwards. Anything is possible. Hope these guys have an awesome visit and get to hang out alot with Tee and Deontay.

We'd be glorifying a kid if we were getting buried and he was tweeting about how he was going to help restore the program.

I think we've all seen ND commits say this and then flip though. Hell, they have all pretty much had to say that for the past two decades.

This is correct. I remember Justice Hayes saying something like, "My team is struggling right now, but we'll be back" shortly before he bolted.

Maybe he just wants to stay close to home. As my Dad told me before he sent me off to the Marines, 'Son, if you really want to get somewhere in life, you need to get away from home and everybody back home, to include family. That's the only way you will succeed.'

It worked for me and not saying it will work for everyone nor is it good advice for everyone, just sometimes, you need to leave the nest.

I imagine it's more so that his dad went to and set records at Cal.

The stadium at Cal cannot compare to ND'S atmosphere for a USC game.I'd like to see the expression on his face when he sees the fans. How many fans does CAL'S stadium hold compared to ours?

that isn't their stadium last night, their stadium is being renovated.....after watching that game last night...if i was a WR i would be asking myself....is Maynard the guy i want throwing me the ball the next couple of years....he is horrible!!!!!! Cal looked terrible!!!! no way are they going to be any force in the pac 12 in the next couple of years...avg team like they have been for 20+ years as i have been watching college football

Not a knock on him at all, just my own view, I would rather go to another school and set my own records there.

(Unless it was ND. lol)

LOL...says the guy who repeatedly put his foot in his mouth these past few days ("this board will meltdown if Agholar takes any visits!" - no it won't. "#7 doesn't look right on Tuitt, no 300 pounder at ND wears a single digit uniform!" Nix does."Not very helpful OMM" - way to be a d*ck to a great poster here. "Nobody at USC studies the playbook and goes to class!" - yeah they do; sh!t, we recruited a lot of those guys (Robert Woods is a GREAT kid, and I've met a few really good guys on that team).

We wouldn't have a stick in our a$$es if a couple of you didn't post like a$$es.

As for Kuenja...I need more sleep. Sorry for overreacting. A few people have been real idiots towards recruits on their threads lately, which by now should be known by all to be a no-no. Peace...

...and class has ended! ;)

What's missing in your life that you need to ATTEMPT to make people feel bad for voicing their opinions (on a public forum I might add)? Are you the b*tch at work? Or maybe just at home? Either way, do yourself a favor and keep out of my business unless it's constructive. All you've done since you've become a mod is bully people. I would venture to say that not ONE person on this forum deserves that from you, except for maybe the non-Irish trolls. Amazing how the most irrelevant stuff can lead to a complex. Check the mirror, bud- YOU'RE A MOD ON A FAN SITE!

Dude, please stop the madness. Your destroying a kids thread here. Just stop writing stupid things and people (NDinLA) will get off your ***. Happy postings my friend.

I would love to have all four of the boys.

Would we take them all with the possibility of Theus and Marshall?

Damn.

Feels good to possibly have that problem.

Shaq and Treggs, Marshall and Theus = best class in the land with what we already have.

Don't be too proud to join us at ND Treggs!

WE want you.

Irish Nation, HOLLA!

What in the world does this Treggs character you speak of have to do with this thread?

Having Theus and Marshall want to join would be mindblowing.....it would also take the wind out of Georgia's sails. Sprinkle in some Ifeadi and Agholor and that is one delicious sundae.

....I'm a lil lost by this...it's Bryce Treggs' thread......

I just really want to beat Whiskey to the punch on this... Treggs tore up 7 on 7s this summer.

Does anyone ever do bad in 7v7 beside a QB maybe. I know deontay went up cuz of camps and stuff, he also seems like a much better prospect and something the O will need with Floyd leaving.

Im not really saying this kid is bad, i just dont see him passing anyone on depth chart and he seems like the kinda vocal kid that wont take to kindly to that. I think kelly has done a good job at building team with starting players and guys that will fit a role. This isnt a powerhouse yet where guys will sorta accept sitting, overloading positions will have a negative effect on future rcting in my eyes.

I defer to Whiskey on this. He's going to be chomping at the bit to drop a 7 on 7 knowledge bomb on you, lol.

He's a five-star on Scout and a four-star everywhere else. He runs great routes, has tremendous hands, and is elusive after the catch.

The notion that we don't really need him is incredibly foolish. We have no depth at wide receiver and to think that Cam McDaniel would make a better WR is just dumb.

This is a kid we would take even if we had met our quota for 4 wide receivers. He would be very effective in this offense.

I think cam is quicker and more elusive, if he can catch i dunno. I guess you gotta get what you can get and go from there and hope no one rocks the boat for a rebuilding team.

Im just not seeing the same thing on film you are i guess.

Others here (*cough* kuehnja *cough*) don't put as much weight on 7-on-7 tourney performance as I do, but it's certainly not the case that everyone looks good at them.

They usually pit top DB recruits vs. top WR recruits, so it's a better indicator than high school production of how competitive participants are likely to be at the next level. And it's sort of a zero-sum game; a WR like Greenberry can only look good if beating the DBs covering him. So no, not everyone looks good at these events.

Nike's The Opening is one of the biggest 7-on-7 tournaments that's been held for this class, and Treggs was arguably the top receiver at the event.

It's hard to find reliable 40 times for Cam and Bryce. I very much doubt that Cam's faster, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say they've got comparable speed. Neither one of them is really a burner.

Cam's strengths are balance and vision. He's not going to juke defenders out of their shoes or take it to the house after the first guy misses, but he takes very good angles and he's tough to tackle.

As Riddickulous mentioned, Bryce is a polished route runner with excellent hands. It's tough to compare the two since Cam is pretty much a pure RB at this point, and Bryce is already a very smooth WR.

Cam might very well move to Z receiver next season, but there's likely to be some growing pains if and when that switch occurs. It would be foolish to turn down a top slot receiver like Treggs because you're counting on a RB switching positions and excelling as a WR. We're in year two of the Theo Riddick experiment, and he still hasn't taken off.

Im just not seeing the same thing on film you are i guess.

The Opening was televised. I don't think anyone who watched that can doubt Treggs' ability.

I wasnt really bringing speed into equation for cam, i dont think its relevant to the position in this O-just the quicks and burst.

im not seeming to find any opening film, 1 small clip on the espn site. any links you know of?

The Opening's website can be found here. I'm not seeing footage of the actual games, but it does list Treggs' 40-time at 4.6.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3VyULV0jZh4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Some of his highlights from The Opening can be seen in the above clip. They start at 1:15. It's not much, but it's all I can find atm.

He's a stud. Going to be unstoppable lining up with Greenberry and Agholor on the sides.
