Folks: an opinion. If you look at the way these rankings go, you see that it really hurts you to have taken a kicker. However, if Brindza turns out to be a game winner, then he is every bit as valuable in the team system as some every-down players. Knowing that Brindza is an absolute thunderfoot, and with a little polish might be regularly blasting them through from 50 yards, AND kicking it out of the end zone, I feel even happier about the elite height to which Staff Kelly has brought us.

I don't know about scout's , rivals or whatever but I can say I'm loving Kelly first real recruiting class for sure. Although I admit it's nice to be ranked.

I think if we get one or two more good verbals we could break the top 5 or 4, needless to say the Irish will turn some heads on signing day.

Ya CB or a Safety, if we could land a 3 or 4 star saftey, watch out, were in the top 3

I think that most of our recruits "stock" can only rise during evaluations during their senior seasons as most sites have them on the low side.

I dont know if a 3rd place finish in this years class is in our future but a top 10 is more than probable. I say a top 5 will be tough only because with whats left on the table, the top 5 schools Texas, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Ohio State (ESPN) are in the mix for many more big name prospects. I think we have a real shot with three, maybe four players left in ESPN's 150. Those being Antonio Richardson, Wayne Lyons, and DaVaris Daniels, and Kasen Williams. Slight hope still remains for ESPN 150 players like Savon Huggins and Ishaq Williams.
I agree that a solid senior year can change some of our high 4* prospects in 5* and so on down the line. I think Hagerty and Lynch have real shots at becoming 5* players before the end of their highschool careers. I also believe that Eilar Hardy and Jarrett Grace have a great chance to finish as 4* players. I also agree that having Kyle hurts our rankings but I dont think we should put all our stock in rankings. Kelly and staff have put together an awesome class, filling the majority of our holes in the roster. Im eager to see what becomes of this class and where we pile up compared to the nation's elite teams come NSD.
