Is this guy supposed to be the top running back for 2013 or like top 5 or something?

Hurt in terms of what? His development as a back or our recruiting effort? Because I'm not sure how Alstott helps us. He played at Purdue.

Because Mike Alstott is the man. He's getting coached by an absolute stud. That can't hurt his development.

I also highly doubt, but can't say for certain, that Alstott wouldn't discourage a kid from coming to Notre Dame. You have to be pretty damn classless to do something like that.

"I hear that Notre Dame run defense is pretty bad. Imagine the numbers you could put up in practice!"

Yeah, I'm not saying that Alstott being one of his coaches is bad in any way. I just wasn't sure what GITF meant and was looking for clarification.

Jump on board! Be #2 for 2013! Let's be like Texas and have our recruiting done before most teams even have a commitment!

Looks like 2012 class will be full by Christmas with a couple of openings for the signing day hat tricksters (who I always suspect we lose because that is mostly a cash business and we don't play dat).

We will be full a week after the USC game.

They will take Agholor no matter what if he wants to come... He's clearly no 1 on BK's board.

With guys like Agholor waiting until February, how can this be true?

The 2012 class is capped at 22. If Agholor, Thompson, and K. Marshall are truly "make room no matter what" recruits, and the staff feels like we've got a good shot at landing them, then (assuming they're not among the verbals) we won't be taking more than 3-4 verbals after USC.

If we actually do fill up to 22, then it probably means (1) the staff isn't optimistic about our chances with those big fish; or (2) they're not as high on them as we are.

Or they're willing to sacrifice some guys who are eligible for 5th years.

The 22 cap presumes that Cave, Cwynar, KLM, and Slaughter are the only 5Y locks. All of those guys are productive and likely NFL-bound starters. I seriously doubt Kelly would deny any of them a 5Y for a 2012 recruit.

Oh, wow. We're really pushing the scholarship limit.

So who's your six that fill up the class, Whiskey?

Wish list: K. Marshall, Thompson, Agholor, Peat, Murphy, and Odenigbo.

More realistic: Removed. After last season's recruiting finale, what I had here doesn't feel right.

Nobody knows who is in his consideration. He hasn't said a single word about his recruitment.

He has taken unofficial visits to several schools already; ND isn't one of them, and there's no indication that he plans to visit ND in the future. Thus, it's not unreasonable to say we don't appear to be in serious consideration.

We had good new at the end of the year with elite defensive recruits last year-hope to get a couple on offense this year!

I think there will be great news for all ND fans with this recruiting class when it's all said and done. Just don't expect DGB to be a part of it though.

4.31? That's movin. The first clip where he out runs the kid who has the angle on him is impressive.
