Its huge for Tee, as well. He needs to get back on the field as soon as he can. Losing this season could hurt his development, but by next fall he will end up being ahead of where he would have been had he played this fall and didn't EE.

Is he allowed to be in contact with coach Longo to get an early start on the strength/conditioning aspect? This year's frosh arrived in great shape just by doing his workouts throughout spring and summer. If Tee started now (or already has started), he'd be that much ahead of the game when he gets here this winter. We need to get this kid bulked up and game ready. I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

That was my thought as well. Shepard's inability to play will hopefully allow him to start on Longo's regiment in earnest, so he'll be physically ready to go next spring.

Next years Lynch?

It's not a bad comparison. This year's DL is next year's CB, at least as far as depth goes. If Shepard isn't in the two-deep against Navy in 2012, I expect him to break through soon thereafter.

I just watched his highlights again and he seems perfect for Diacos cover two plays the flats well gets deep is rangy seems like a robert blanton type of athlete... he seems like he runs probably about a 4.5 but his athleticism makes up for that

He flies around and arrives at the ball with bad intentions, every single play.

Had his eligibility appeal hearing last week and should be receiving word soon on whether he will be allowed to play this season.

Washington Union has played five games to date.

A post on BGI said Tee was denied his appeal.

There was a quote from him however that it is more important for him to graduate early than to play his senior season because he wants to get to ND as soon as possible to try and earn a starting spot.

His current city on facebook is South Bend, Indiana. Tough.

I have high hopes for this kid to come in and make an impact. I'm not convinced Lo or BJax will be able to keep Tee from passing them up. Every report says Tee is the real deal at corner.

When I see a kid like this, I can't help but want to see them suceed a little more than others. Not many student/athlete's have this kind of commitment these days. I am a Tee Fan.

May have to change my name to, TeeforHeisman

Looking forward to seeing what this kid & Darby can do. When was the last time ND truly had a solid corner? Like a guy who will get drafted in the 1st 2 rounds?

Had to be 70s or 80s, I've been internet searching but my Dad doesn't even remember. No good.

50th overall back in 1995, not since Lou was here does it seem we've had one of these types of corners.

We've had a couple of good corners since then (Allen Rossum and Shane Walton, most notably) but none of them were really good pro prospects.
