That's part of the problem. We need a USC at night type atmosphere for EVERY game. That being said, if we play well and win this weekend, the environment will be plenty good to woo recruits. The team and fanbase are starving for a win. Also, him coming this weekend instead of USG goes a long ways towards showing he is not 1. just coming out for a free ride to our biggest game of the year that every recruit seems to want to be at. 2. Coming out just as much to see USC as he is ND since they are still lingering around as one of his options.
I think coming out this weekend is a big step forward in showing his interest in ND is genuine and should silence those who doubt that...unless of course somehow it's a bad thing in your opinion.
And a weekend when we will have Arik Armstead, Zach Banner, Keith Marshall, and a who's who of the best high school players in America on campus is not going to allow the staff to focus anywhere near the same attention on a recruit, even if he were the #1 overall guy at the top of their board (which I doubt he is only because of our dire lack of talent and depth at other positions), as they would be able to on a weekend where we have only 4-5 guys on campus. Its not logistically possible.
