Hey guys,
So, my brothers birthday is the eleventh, the day after the game. He was born in '88 during the Michigan game.
A huge ND fan and I really want to get him something super special for his birthday this year.
Problem is I don't have much money so I can't just go online and buy it because its all so expensive.
So, I was wondering if any of you had some gear that you didn't use any more, that doesn't fit or you'd be willing to part with and sell. Like, maybe a varsity jacket or a nice sports jacket or something.
You all would be so amazing if you could help me with this!!!
Thanks a million everyone! :)

I Just Had This Idea For The Best Gift Ever

I Just Had This Idea For The Best Gift Ever

Now, your brother won't get this for at least another 5 years, but he will be happy. I promise.

  1. Enroll in the University of Michigan
  2. Graduate from the UM
  3. Become official alum of UM
  4. Pay the worst player with a UM scholarship offer to sign with the University
  5. Turn yourself in to the NCAA
  6. Revel in the sanctions that follow
Not bad, eh?

Or I guess you could be a cheap pussy:

  1. Just donate some money to UM
  2. You can officially wreak havoc to the university
  3. Complete last three steps in part one
Keep in mind this is all just a joke.

Sorry, I don't have anything I could part with or that is that nice to give you. I would help if I could bro. Take care and good luck!

My birthday is coming up whats everyone getting me?

But honestly Irishblood i wish i had something to help you out with. I'm a broke college student. I am sure anything you get your brother though he will appreciate it. Buy him a case of his favorite beer and sit down and watch the game with him. Nothing like beer on your birthday. Or just follow Beau's idea.

I agree with GBdomer. Something simple will work best. Over the years I have gotten my dad ND stuff for nearly every occasion. I got him the real Rudy's autograph on a replica Play Like A Champion Sign, beer glasses, a golden helmet with Paul Hornung's autograph, etc. All those things are nice. But getting his favorite beer and watching the game with him always seems to do a better job. Do the same for your bro. Material things will fade away. But quality time spent watching an ND game drinking, laughing, screaming, punching, and throwing the nearest objects at the TV because you see ND slowly collapsing in front of your eyes is a much better gift that will last a lifetime.

Theres always Amazon or google shopping. They usually have tons of stuff. And you can usually find shirts and jerseys for a decent price.

My hunch is Michigan will use Robinson out of the shot gun to take advantage of his speed and moves. Also agree they will attack the edges with bubble screens like Florida. My concern is watching Fleming last year even when he got into the backfield he was too slow to catch the quick Qbs in open space. I sense Robinson will roll out right and just dance around Fleming. We gotta get some one with speed at that position but question is there anyone experienced enough. My hunch Kelly is going to have to use Tuitt and Lynch to get more pressure in the back field. If we force Robinson to throw often that is in our favor. Finally can not imagine him piling up over 500 yds of offense this game. Besides even with his great effort last year they only won in the closing seconds and we had a rookie Qb and a offense new to the spread formation. So I assume we will do better this Saturday.

Cool story, but I'm not sure how this has anything to do with anybody's birthday

Dude! I use that have some of those. I'm pretty sure the people we sold our old house to stole them though. What crap. :( I thought they were so cool. Mine didn't have the 7up in them though, and they were from different years. They were awesome.

I just bought a gently used green #10 jersey on ebay before the game last weekend.

Epic fail.

I guess I'll just have to hope we recruit a new QB this year who wears it or one of the other guys (Golson) switches.

Happy belated bruh, I'll buy you an imaginary beer or something.

To my man whos hermano has a bday upcoming: take your brother fishing, memories last a lifetime. Nature is free. If you live near ND, I believe the summer steelhead run in the St. Joe is somethin' fierce. In fact, if you are anywhere near Bradenton, FL I can take you out myself.

Rockin' the FannyPack. Bold move.

Not just any fanny, that my friend is THE fishing fanny. I have several actually, that one there is my freshwater pond pack. I also have a flats fanny, and a saltwater mega-fanny. Get on my level.

Sidenote- nice attention to detail haha.

Thanks everybody for your replies and best wishes! You all never cease to crack me up! :D

What size is your brother?

My brother is about the same size as me. Tight fitted (which is how he wears em) Mens Small, But medium totally works too.

Dude thats awesome, I was thinking of that clip when I posted this thread. I day dreamed of something like that happening! :D

I learned the Rudy soundtrack on Piano to play when I give him the gift...no joke.

I probably have stuff depending on his size.

Also do you and your brother live near other, or in the vicinity where you could catch a game together?

Yeah, we live close down here in Las Vegas. I'm thinking of the Stanford game but getting tickets would be another challenge.

Don't be concerned...but I think Whiskey was giving you the once over. He loves a man rollin' with fanny packs. ;)

Yeah, that would be wonderful. Except, Las Vegas' nearest water, Lake Mead is going dry and I would only catch the fish to give them water to survive.

Thank you for your offer mate! I appreciate that :). Very kind. Thats a huge Bass you got there! Damn!

This is pretty awesome! :D
