Do all these people predicting 11-1 regular season records realize that could easily put us in the NC game?

It seems unlikely that we'll have multiple undefeated teams this season (Boise State and TCU excepted), so depending on when, how, and against whom that loss comes, ND would have a strong case to play for the MNC.

Looking at our schedule, I could see us playing for the NC with an undefeated record. I'm trying to not be super optimistic though. For some reason I don't see us losing more than 2 though.

Riotous atmosphere in the Big House. Also Denard's speed off the edge.

I totally understand why. Just thought we had a little bit more faith in our team in that matchup. Been saying that for a couple years now though, right?

Overall Record: 11-1

Wins:...

Losses: Stanford

Toss up: MSU, USC, Michigan

Offensive MVP: Riddick (may not have the most yards running or receiving, but will lead the team in 3rd down conversions...his escapability will tear the heart out of defenses)

Defensive MVP: Manti (he will play more down hill this year...he won't have to think, and his daddy told him to go put fear in the hearts of his opposition)

Bowl Game: Not sure...BCS likely

Best Tailgating Beer: I like the guys who do the good stuff, and back it up with something light for sheer volume...thats experience right there...I'm with you...I like Grolsch, then coors light.

Good call there...I like Newcastle...for some reason it never jumps in my head when setting up the cooler for tailgating...creature of habit I guess. I think I'll do Newcastle on my next one

...amazing when you get old what constitutes "shaking it up", or "keeping it fresh"...Its now changing my tailgate beer...hehehehehe!

... SoCo n Coke are my favorites.

Oh, k1ssme, I'm so sorry to hear this. I liked you, I really did – but this a a deal breaker.

My first (and worst) hangover resulted from Southern Comfort and Coke. [I'm assuming this is what "SoCo" is, if not I still like you and you can stop reading.] The night after my final high school swim meet in late May of '70 I sat down in the motel room with a teammate who'd brought a fifth of Southern Comfort. We hit up the vending machine for Coke, mixed them and drank it all up. I passed out at about 3 AM and except for a couple of trips to inventory the contents of my stomach, got a "good," "solid" three hours sleep followed by a three hour drive from Jacksonville to Orlando with a couple of parent/chaperones in the front seat. I don't think the sun has ever shone brighter or conversations been louder.

It got worse. We left early so we could all make it to 11 AM Mass. Put on the coat and tie. Pile in the car with Dad and the sibs. That, of all days, was the day my twin sister and I (Oh, don't they look so sweet!) were "honored" by being chosen to carry the hosts and wine from the back of the church to the altar to present to the Priest. Shuffle, shuffle. [For heaven's sake don't trip!] Blink, blink. [Focus! Don't yawn!] Return to pew. Smile. Pass out.

To this day even the smell of Southern Comfort turns my stomach.

's a shame Four Peaks stuff isn't more widely available. No one else here will understand it's incomparable deliciousness.
