They told me that before they wanted me to commit and I wasn't ready. When the last DB committed that closed the deal to go our separate ways because they already had two corners committed. When they talked to us today they said that they wanted to bring in another high caliber cornerback and they felt I was the guy they want.

Does anybody else see a complete disconnect in these statements? Why do you suddenly stop recruiting a player because you're full at his position and then resume because you want "another high caliber cornerback?"
Either Hoke knows he's gonna wiff on several other prospects, he can't count, or he's a liar.

Hopefully we can help in getting Michigan's season off to a slow start. I really want to win this game this year and win it soundly. We will just have to wait and see how things play out, but I think you're right in that if they have a slow start this season, then I think they will lose a few recruits by season's end.

Michigan was pressuring him to commit early. That was a turn off for Armani, and he backed off on his own accord. When they had another DB commit, he took them off his top schools. However, a recent phone call from Michigan made him reconsider his top schools.

If they have a bad year I don't see them losing as many as some may think. Their recruits are all in the Michigan-Ohio-Midwest area who grew up fans. I would think they will stick with it. If they had top recruits from across the country I can see differently.

If he picks us that would be amazing because he could play either slot or CB. I think that would finish off our DB recruiting for the year and allow us some flexibility on the RBs/skill guys we pick. Just don't see it happening.

What will be interesting to see is if we pick up the recruitment of Yuri Wright after this or if we focus on TJ Davis full steam ahead. Really wish we would make a bigger push for Yuri because it seems Michigan is making a late charge in that direction.

I am assuming because he said this:

I would say Michigan is in my top two, I've always liked Michigan. I haven't really cut my list down yet, but they're in the top somewhere. Just the tradition that's at Michigan, the winningest program, the coaches, and the whole experience of going to school there. Coach Mallory has been telling me it's just about getting a chance to come to Michigan and getting better when I get there, and hopefully make it to the league.

I would think that Colorado, Georgia, and Cal also have very good shots at landing him. You have to take everything he says with a grain of salt because he really talks up every school he talks to. All part of the process I guess.

I agree with Brey...I think we are still in it with Shaq. I also beleive we have a better chance of landing Tracy Howard than Yuri Wright at this point. Howard has us still in the mix, nopt top 3, but top 5. Alford is recruiting him hard and if Alford can get him to come on an OV...
