DGB is a pipe dream.
I do think we take Darboh and Greenberry along with Ferguson and a slot guy. Possibly even another WR, either outside or slot. I think it makes sense, as is being considered, to move GAIII back to RB and just replace him with an extra WR in this cycle when you look at how the RB recruiting appears to be going right now. Hard to say we are in "very" good shape with any of our top choices at RB..should be interesting to see who we end up with.

Hopefully all that changes with a 10 win season.

Seems like a good kid that is flying a little under the radar. What are our chances at this point?

He's been quiet. We are still in contact. I don't think he's visited anywhere yet besides the local schools

I thought he was really close to committing at the B&G game. I have to imagine we are still strong in the hunt. He could become a priority if we miss out on Treggs

I think the only reason he hasn't committed yet is that we already have 2 guys signed up and the staff is waiting on some guys they have higher on their board.

Is there any chance he is a slot/outside hybrid receiver like TJ Jones?

Darboh's listed as 6-2, 190 with 4.42 speed as a HS junior.

Jones was listed by ND last year as 5-11, 187.

Darboh's going to able to line up anywhere a coach wants him when he hits a Div 1 field.

About the only youtube videos I can find featuring Darboh.

Looks like we have 8-9 spots left, including Badger and Prestwood. Assuming Perkins is an OLB, we still need..

2 RB
1 Slot
2 DL
1 OL
1 OLB
1 DB

Darboh is another outside WR. Which doesn't seem to fit anywhere listed above. We're in play with a huge amount of elite prospects at various positions. We could easily be full by the end of USC weekend. Which spots do you see the staff being a little more flexible?

I think this all could get very interesting! Say Shaq and Yuri both commit, then that leaves us with 3 corners and 5 safeties (including Badger), which I honestly feel is too much in one cycle (even taking into account possible 5th years for a few). But then again, Baratti could be a LB, Perkins could be a RB, Shaq could be a RB or WR, so who knows. And what happens if Day, Schutt, Jones, and Spence all want to come? Oh, the headaches BK and his staff could face! I do think we will get one more "true" WR, but I really tend to think he will be a slot guy.

Prosise could be a WR, etc.

Headaches? They'll be doing cartwheels if that happens. One of our elite OLB targets and our top-3 DL prospects would put us right on target.

While I think we'd prefer 4 WRs, we have enough flexibility that the position that Kelly will probably be happy with just one solid Slot recruit.

I have a feeling the staff cooled on him and have focused elsewhere. Deontay and Justin are already on board. We need a slot to cap the WR hull.

I would disagree with this only because Atkinson was moved to RB, and there is no guarantee he will end up being moved back to WR, especially if he prospers at RB. If that is the case, that would mean Davaris is our only WR in the incoming class, and we would take another outside guy this year to account for GAIIIs vacated spot. I actually would like to see this kid in a ND uniform. After MF3 leaves next year, we are going to be needing some playmakers on the outisde. Aside from Floyd you could argue that we have no real outside threats on the roster right now not including Davaris who I believe has potential, but has to show it on the field and get some experience first.
Toma, Riddick, and Jones are all slot guys, and if he is as good an athlete as we have heard, there is a chance Farley could end up a slot guy.

Farley's move to WR still leaves us with two. He's basically Golden Tate 2.0 at this point.

None of us knows for sure, obviously, but my intuition is that GA III will get moved back to WR as soon as possible. That's the position for which he was recruited, and in Kelly's offense, he needs more playmakers at WR than RB. All indications are that the move is temporary to fix an immediate depth problem.

Toma, Riddick, and Jones are all slot guys, and if he is as good an athlete as we have heard, there is a chance Farley could end up a slot guy.

I don't get the impression that TJ is a great fit for Slot, despite having prototypical Slot size. He's a smooth route runner and has good speed, but he's not very elusive, which is generally the most important trait for Z receivers.

I was being facetious, Whiskey! The coaching staff wouldn't be the only ones doing cartwheels if that happens-- I'd jump in on that action too!

I totally agree with you on this, but he's also really slight for an outside guy, and I think we need somebody at least 6'2 with a stronger build on the outside to pose a redzone and/or big play threat, unless they have blazing speed which Jones also doesnt. He is a very good route runner, and awesome complimentary guy, but right now I dont see big time threat. Hopefully he proves me wrong, and he still has plenty of time to do so.
