Some of Kelly's current staff will likely come with him to ND. The likliest candidates include

OL Coach: Jeff Quinn
Defensive Coordinator/ LB coach: Bob Diaco
QB Coach: Greg Forest
Strength Coach: Paul Longo

Therehas also been talk that some of Weis's staff may be retained lik
RB Coach Tony Alford
ST Coach: Brian Polian
DB Coach Corwin Brown
TE Coach Brian Parmalee

Parmalee andPowlus have also been rumored to be leaving with Ianello
Alford has been rumored to be going to Florida
Polian is also in talks to take over at Youngstown St

I hope Ron Powlus stays, he was instramental in the development of Clausen and Crist. Always good to have an ND guy in that position that has been there and done that.

I was hoping to keep C. Brown, and Polian. They were two of our best recruiters, and made some real in-roads in places that we've had troubles in the past.

A NEW STRENGTH COACH! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont get to excited! Just another strength coach who believe olympic lifts translate to the field. Pual longo would be another miserable hire for a strength coach. We need a coach with a High Intensity / periodization philosophy. Not some thinking olympic style lifts are what make football players!

Seemed to work at Cincinnati. Why don't you apply for the job?

My guess on the coaching staff.

HC-Kelly
OC/O-line coach-Jeff Quinn
DC/LBs-Chuck Martin
QBs-Greg Forest
RBs-Alford
WRs-Brian White
TEs-Parmalee
DL-Mike Elston
DBs/Assistant Head Coach-Corwin Brown
STs-Brian Polian
S&C-Paul Longo

I like that list. Any idea on who would be our recruiting coordinator?

I would want the Cincy D-line coach. He's the guy that took a tight end and turned him into the best DE in the Big East and a second round draft pick. I think Martin would be an amazing DC.

Well I would like the job, but in order to get the job, as you see here, you have to know someone. Its ashame that we keep getting stuck with people who know people instead of a strength coach that actually utilizes actual scientific research protocol. For example, Florida gators mickey maraotti uses my philosophy.

Don't get this. While I know Brown is a great recruiter, out DBs stunk it up this year.

Well, that's gonna happen when your blitz packages NEVER get home and you're putting your CB's on an island all by themselves.

But the previous two years, they looked damned good. I don't know that it was technique as much as it was schemes.

Remember Robert Blanton in 2008 and Darrin Walls in 2007? Yeah, that's why we should keep Corwin.

That's my point. Tenuta's idiot shit defense ruined the pass defense. Brown's D was great. Blanton and Walls were killed by that moron Tenuta's D.

Yeah...You got a point....but the flip-side of it is that Blanton and Walls were exposed for not being as good as advertised or prepared...If a team has solid DB play, then that opens up the ability to blitz the crap out of opponents...We didn't have the solid DB play because we didn't have solid DB's...That being said, I'll say "no thanks" to Corwin returning...Besides, he'd probably be a better fit in the NFL coaching...

The better your front four are on defense, the better your secondary looks. Easier to look good when the Quaterback is on his ASS or making bad decisions when throwing the ball. We have got to be able to get to the Quarterback without blitzing.
