I have been told that there is no such thing as a partial tear anyway... a tear is a tear... not a med student but I have been told that by peps who claim to know

Well.... that's kinda just completely wrong. Basically, your level of "tear" follows the sprain grade scale. The first level in no actual tearing ,just inflammation. The next has some tearing and structural damage but you can usually use your joint as normal (with varying degrees of pain). Partial tears usually heal on their own by way of scar tissue if you give them time and take the right steps. And then the last level is a rupture or complete tear. A complete tear is exactly what it sounds like and your ligament or whatever that you tore is going to need surgery to get it back to functioning.

in my experiance players are able to play on mcl tears as long as they can handle the pain so i would assume there is minimal risk of further injury. with a little rest and rehab he should be fine...

I hate to say it but people suck. It never ceases to amaze me how many idiots there are out there, and all it takes is one of them to sully the good name of us true fans. At least it sounds like he has an understanding that the village idiot that he encountered isn't a true fan....like us here at IE!

I agree. He has now removed his post. But in it he seamed to understand that true Irish fans wouldn't treat a commit that way.

BK listed him in his signing day presser as 6'5'' and 287 lbs. Great size for a kid just coming in. I think he could end up sliding to the interior of either line. This may be old news but I was unaware he was this big. Im excited to see what Longo can do with some extra time.

And he and his coach "moved him" all senior year while specifically stating it was to get ready for college football.

Brad is going to be that kid that you dont really hear from for 2 years...you just see him get massive...you hear about how he does great in practice and makes everyone better....then he becomes a 2 year starter. He is dedicated and is going to out work his competition.

Love the attitude of the dedicated "big". Carrico was our first or second verbal...ND all the way. Really cheering for the big man to succeed. When whoever is our "Braxton Cave" of 2013 glances to his left and sees Big Brad, he'll think "thank God Brad's got this one!!" ... and a count later some opposing DT is four yards further away from the runner than he wants to be. Earth-mover.

I picture Brad with a Dan Santucci type career.

He is doing just fine! Getting bigger and more agile. For him its just about getting more acclimated to the Oline and improving his techniques.

I thought Hegarty was already playing some Center. And I believe Harrell was told to start working out as a center

Yeah I think they are grooming Hegarty to be the center, but I think they just want Harrell to be flexible and step into a spot of need.

imo if you can play center you can play guard...those three spots are pretty interchangable.

DD has a thread stating Carrico's foot injury hasn't healed properly. Football career is over. I can't find anything to confirm. Anybody heard anything?
