They were limited to 16 scholarships or something but Hoke said there would be room for 24 due to some attrition.

Correct.

Michigan's class should hold together fairly well, even if they finish 7-5 or 8-4. 14 of their 16 current verbals (87.5%) are from Michigan or Ohio. We all thought Michigan's class would fall to pieces last year, and they managed to turn it from a class ranked in the 40s into a Top 25 class.

The difference between us and Michigan is that we tend to recruit the entire country, whereas Michigan tends to recruit the Midwest (mainly Michigan and Ohio) and perhaps pick up a couple of non-Midwest prospects each year.

FYI this never happened, Tom VH a recruiting guy for MGoBlog posted: buckle up. and that spawned a 200 post thread, where I also saw this same link. I think that site jumped the gun a bit.

Also, Kalis probably wont commit this weekend, he just decommitted, I would imagine him wanting to take his time and look at his options first, he seems like a smart kid and that would be the smart thing for him to do.

Thanks as usual for the update.

They may have jumped the gun but M does look like quite probable as a final destination. Funny how RRod got Boren headed to Columbus and now that he's gone Tressel urinates in the soup and the pendulum swings the other way. I've never understood how a kid growing up could have such an strong association for one program and for whatever reason jump to the archrival program. Alabama and Auburn prospects do that annually.

As for the count, does 24 seem like the number?

If so if Kalis, Wormley, and Wilson make the leap and Dunn joins them, who and/or what positions would fill out the class?

Tom VH made a post about what our class may look like, I wont copy/paste because I know some Irish fans don't want to see a bunch of UM stuff. But feel free to read here.

But to summarize I would say 2-3 DL, 2-3 OL, 1 safety, and after that who knows.

And yes, I know, I have a great quote there don't I. But to be honest I hate ND fans much much less after finding this board, my only interactions have been with, obviously, the worst of your kind living in SEC SEC SEC country (Knoxville). But most on this board are knowledgeable about Irish tradition, history, other teams, and fairly level headed. Which for a forum is amazing in and of itself. So if you happen to score tickets to the 'Under the Lights' game feel free to hit me up, I'd be happy to smoke you at beer pong during while tailgating.

Send me some tickets and I'll see you there! haha Although, I'm afraid beer pong might be out of the question...I'm under 21 :p

Also, I'm very glad to hear that we aren't super annoying or just plain stupid like other fans you've met.

I'd like to think we're the majority, but I don't know anymore.

I don't think they'll tank, and quite frankly, I don't want them to. I do, however, hope we kick the crap out of them for the last two years that we should have won and found ways to **** the game away. We need the Skunkbears to be healthy and good. This rivalry is soo much better when we are both at the top of our game.

I think the Ohio St. debacle is helping Michigan more than any other team.

I agree. They are basically the same school so it's not terribly surprising. I'm not counting Michigan's academics as a difference because for athletes there is no difference.

The one thing that does surprise me is that Ohio kids are giving up on OSU so quickly, before any rulings have come out, and with the skunkbears recent history in the rivalry being so pathetic.

i think it's pretty much inevitable right now that the hammer will be thrown down on osu...which makes it even stupider for them to impose their self sanctions. it really doesn't make any difference, they should have just the ncaa do their thing. it doesn't make them save any face in the least.

This is intriguing.

Hmm. Is it really his stepfather?

If so, this will get hectic.

The hammer will not be thrown at OSU. No "Lack of institutional control" (USC) or even "Failure to monitor" (UNC). This whole thing will be sword swallowed by Tressel as the bungling idiot.

I'm guessing the relationship there isn't really a strong one considering he committed.

But to be fair, it's been rumored that MI is pushing recruits to commit early, and this recruit is likely no different.

Don't really see to much into this, his real dad wanted him to go to UM as well from what I read.

Other than reading about it here and there in a message board, nothing, absolutely nothing. Other than the verbal diarrhea I think that pod cast nailed it, but I'm biased obviously.
