I really hope he catches on to Diaco's defense and doesn't end up like Steve Filer. Filer is a freak, but hasn't been able to put it together on the field.

Noor chose Stanford because he always wanted to go back to the west coast for school. And I'm not convinced he doesn't end up at USC when all is said and done... but I'd wager Stanford is "solid" right now.

There is a lot of smoke about some certain singular reason why ND lost ground with Ifeadi. Really wish I knew what that was. Also wish his mom, who is apparently a really smart lady and an educator, would be making the trip in July... but oh well. Got to play with the hand we're dealt.

I don't claim any special knowledge. Based on my vague recollection of all the tweets and questionable rumors swirling around before Davis' announcement, I felt like Stanford's (lack of) depth at OLB was it's biggest advantage over us. I'm aware of his family on the west coast, and I'm sure it played a part, but I still think the high likelihood of early playing time was the prime factor.

It could just be my own prejudice, but it seems to consistently be a big factor in where blue chippers choose to commit. What are the odds that Mauk or Kiel would have commited to us if we weren't so deep at QB? Pretty good, I think.

Miles offering Perkins proved what a few of us saw with this kid in the beginning, and verifies his abilities; Kelly didn't need anyone's opinion, however.

Boom doesn't worry me as much as some. It's nice to have locality pulling in our favor here, and he's been recruiting hard on our behalf.

This is inevitable. Kelly is well respected as a talent scout among other coaching staffs, so they naturally free ride off his offers. And Boom just crushed the SPARQ combine at The Opening... can't enjoy highly rated recruits without fighting off rival suitors.
