Hopefully Julie Roe Lach's recently confirmed attention will keep the cockroaches in the dark for now.

That woman put Chizik in his place after he moronically stated, as his enemies watched, that the ongoing investigation was hurting recruiting. He challenged her in demanding an answer as to whether or not the NCAA was done sniffing around and she called his bluff.

He looks like an idiot.

There is no way Darby switches to Auburn.

$180k can be extremely persuasive.

It sure can. People do much worse things for much less money ha. But hey, If that ends up being his motivation then I'd be happy not to have him.

With that said, from the small amount of video I've seen, he seems like a humble kid and claims he wants a good education. We'll see.

I think he stays Irish, personally, but make no mistake that there's real danger here. He's visiting one of the most corrupt programs in the nation this weekend; I'm certain his moral fortitude will be tested.

Just be prepared for the worst.

I am. I know the corruption is out of control.

I'm sure I'll hear something from the half-brained Auburn fans that call the Paul Feinbaum show.. Im temporarily rotting in the hell hole that is Mississippi.

I'd feel a lot more secure about an Auburn visit if it happened in November when they are 5-4 and fighting to be bowl eligible and ND is well on it's way to a BCS bowl. As of now the last impression recruits have of Auburn is the national championship (which will not exist by the time Ronald graduates from college, anyway) and an Auburn player going #1 in the draft.

I'm not worried about Auburn. ND is on the uptick and BK won't let this one get away. Once these recruits see what it's like to win at ND and win big, they will be coming in masses. Remember, they are too young to know what it was like to have ND on top so they don't understand. They grew up to a mediocre team with a bunch of overhype. They know have to see it for themselves what ND can really do for them.

I understand commits taking officials, free trip and all, but when a commit starts taking unofficials to other schools then I get worried.

Now I am worried.

I guess we will all have to take a leap of blind faith and hope that he still feels the place to be is Notre Dame. I admit that I am a little concerned, but there isn't much I can do about it so I will just try to stay positive and hope for the best.

I hope he takes as many visits as he can. I'd rather a recruit see as much as he can before his commitment is finalized.

I have no control over any of it.

I have no control over any of it.

I am just going to stick my head in the sand and sing Kumbaya.

Darby is the centerpiece to this recruiting class right now.

I hope we keep him.

This is going to be a war to the end and everyone should've known that since day 1. All of the most corrupt southern schools are going to try like crazy for him (UNC, Auburn, etc. etc.) and who knows what will happen. Also, his relationship with other recruits may or may not be a factor... really wish he had been at the opening to bond with ND skill players instead of running track with a North Carolina athlete likely to stay south.

Recruiting is a marathon not a sprint. He obviously likes ND or he wouldn't have committed and if we have a great season I see us holding on to him. Says all the right things about making it a 40 year decision which to me means that he knows the value of a Notre Dame degree and we will be in it to the end.

Yea we have and I would obviously much rather that outcome. The only reason I brought that up was the timing of the tweet and Darby's unofficial to Auburn.

Let me say, I really don't think we lose him in the long run. Like Lax was saying before, it's a long haul and he is highly sought after.. It could be another roller coaster ride.
