In quantity, maybe. I see no elite defensive linemen yet. I see a pretty darn good LB class (in depth). I don't know... not buying all of the hype personally.

I wouldn't got that far. Yes their class is impressive but besides Royce Jenkins- Stone, that 5'9" corner, Richardson, and the 5'11" MLB Ross who else is really "that" good.

i really like what they're doing and that scares me...he is pulling in hard nosed guys that like to play the game violently. you're right they have a few more holes to fill, but i see no reason to believe that they won't reel in a few more big timers on defense. throw in some monsters on the OL and they're doing exactly what they envisioned doing from the get go. Right now at the very least it is looking like the right hire for them.

I am impressed with what Hoke and his staff have done so far, but they do not have the best defensive haul in the nation. They are establishing solid depth, however, especially in the LB core and the secondary.

Florida St. is shaping up to have a MONSTER defensive class.

They have like 4 spots left. They have decent 4 star guys, and some talent on the DL, but this is not close to the best defensive haul in the country.

Allow me to be the 30th poster to say that Hoke is doing an impressive job in recruiting right now, but no way in the world do they have the top recruiting class in the country...and in the end I don't think they'll be near having the top defensive class in the country. Michigan's class is filling holes, and they are creating great depth. But they have only a couple of standouts. As mentioned, FSU's class is going to be sick. I'll also take Florida's defensive commits so far, as well as Texas and even USC's as well (assuming they move a couple of those athletes to defense).

Again, no hating here - really impressed by the job Hoke has done so far - but he's pushing/pressuring for a lot of early commitments, which usually means kids will take visits, and anything can happen then. They're going to struggle this year - will he be able to hold the class together under the guise that there will be a ton of early playing time, a la CW? Or will kids start to look around? Time will tell I guess, but remember, recruiting is a marathon, not a sprint...

If we can win big this year, we're gonna have on heck of a class again. Michigan is going to have a decent season, but they won't finish like we should.

I don't think the number of safeties would/should scare him away. He is rated higher than all the current committs, so I would think he would think he could beat out the others for PT. At least I would think that if I was thinking for him. I think.

But yes, Michigan seems like the obvious choice.
