Tee Shepard

Shepard doesn't have much to prove as he's already one of the top corners in the country. He had a lingering shoulder injury so he played wide out instead of corner and flashed his speed by blowing by some other defensive backs. He's got a good build and is very agile, performing very well during cornerback drills. Shepard's backpedal is smooth and he keeps his center of gravity right where it should be.

No ... he is still just a junior in HS. Could it become more severe and require a few surgeries? yes but unlikely I would hope.

Old injuries are always some concern but Alabama, Auburn, Cal, Miami, Southern Cal and a host of others weren't deterred by it.

Shepard recently was the outstanding DB at the Stanford NFTC. Of course they weren't tackling 220 pound RBs in a camp. See how his senior season plays out. If necessary they'll tweak the shoulder surgically. Every year there's a couple of players having a shoulder or a knee repaired in the off season.

Back on topic. I think Tee is our biggest need verbal so far. The only way he gets passed on that list is if we get a top 5 RB.

There are several posts here which don't belong in Tee Shepard's thread ... and he's so good and needed by us that he deserves better. I am really rooting for him to stay-the-course and bring other young supermen with him to complete a great defense that will lead to national championship shots.

Biggest need verbal remains to be seen, but i don't think there is a doubt as of right now that he has been the most important. He really seemed to get things going in the right direction and he's helped our chances to land other elite talents.

Just saw Tee this weekend

Was coaching @ a passing tourny this weekend and got to see Tee and his Central Grizzlies beat Deontay Greenberry's Washington Union in the Finals. Both kids looked real solid, especially Tee on D.

Mr. Shepard will be appearing at my High School's Passing Tourny this weekend so I'll try to get some pics
