hadn't seen it posted anywhere yet...not surprised, but it's always nice to see those elite offers coming to the guys we are in good shape with.
Yes they changed it cause last night for some reason it was high.
this guy's on his schools 4x400 relay team...freak athlete for a big guy. landing him would surely ease my pain about losing noor. idk, but this could drag out and the longer it does the more it favors OSU imo.
Just my opinion but I dont think OSU is in this at all. Stanford and Northwestern lead for this guy from everything I've heard. Academics mean a lot to this kid and it shows in his top 8. If Stanford can't pull him in, I think Northwestern wins out.
Then why is Michigan State in his top 8? OSU and MSU don't fit the strong academic profile. If Northwestern does land him, he would be their biggest pull I can remember.
If Stanford gets both Noor and Ifeadi I will personally drive to Palo Alto and burn down that tree.
P.S. How the eff is Illinois on that list?
i think he may be waiting on what's the deal with OSU...from what i understand he wants to major in pre-med and OSU has a pretty solid pre-med program (although not as good as Northwestern) and definitely better football than the other two schools you mentioned.
If he is indeed a pre-med major, then Ohio State wouldn't be a bad choice to at least consider. The ProjectONE initiative (a $1 billion medical center expansion) is unlike any hospital in the world, according to some architects who helped with the design. Needless to say, it's not like many Ohio State football players actually turn out to be pre-med majors, so it's pretty moot.
Notre Dame needs to snag this kid, he's a definite keeper.
According to university statistics, [Notre Dame's] science pre-professional program has one of the highest acceptance rates to medical school of any university in the United States.
From wikipedia:
Last I had heard from pre-med friends (I'm in the Knowlton School, screw that medical crap) was that the acceptance rate is dropping like a rock, just like the university. Just a few years ago the university accepted any Ohio resident who could essentially read and write. Now the average incoming class' GPA is a 29. Simply put, their goal is to have one of the best medical facilities in the world, and throwing more than a billion dollars at it is a great way to improve a medical center already highly ranked.
But again it's really pointless, Ohio State football players aren't often lauded for academic achievement. I just checked the 2010 results and only like four players had above a 3.0 cumulative GPA in Biology/Medical fields. Weaksauce central. If he is truly considering academics to be a major priority, Ohio State should not top his list.
Well, I'll go out on a limb and say that if OSU lead for him (which many people seemed to think), they just lost some major ground with the Vest stepping down.
Ohio State doesnt lead.
......who does.....
I def think Noor Davis sticks with Stanford. It's anyone's guess but I personally have a hunch it is Stanford (per some of the comments he made when Noor was going to announce). Others have said Northwestern.
We are definitely a big player, but I'm starting to get the feeling that some of these guys might be turned off by the amount of talented OLBs we took last year. When all is said and done, I don't think we get Noor (he seams biased to West Coast.. but maybe that will change after his official visit) but I do think there's a strong possibility we get Ifeadi. Would be awesome because he is such a great athlete.
