Ha ha, remember this when we bag on Michigan for bringing in a 3 star with good offers. It ain't about the stars if your coaching staff likes him and several respected coaching staffs offer him.

Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Stanford and Michigan as well. I'd say we should be very excited.

Any lineman offered by the Stanford of today has my respect. Throw in all of the above offers and the ones previously mentioned like Auburn and Clemson and you have to know that the kid has some serious talent. And the ranking services will have to pay attention to him now that he has committed to ND, so at worst he'll get his 3 stars.

Now that we have 2 linemen into the fold...it's time to hold out and wait for the big fish such as Peat and Banner et al.

Welcome Mark! I don't care how many stars you have, you are always welcome at ND!

I have no doubt our staff can develop players, especially lineman.

FWIW, he will be the #1 Interior OL Player on Coach D's big board on ISD - he absolutely loves Mark. Thinks he resembles Zack Martin coming out of HS.

Linemen going fast

Linemen going fast

Yesterday JJ DENMAN decided to play for PSU
Today MARK HARRELL picked the IRISH.
PATRICK DeSTEFANO is supposed to either
commit or cut his top picks to 3 on Monday.

From the highlight film MARK gets off the line fast
and flattens everything in front of him...His coach played OL
in the NFL for 9 years so he is getting good grooming.
Go IRISH !

Big Time pick up. Was reportedly down to us and Auburn (anytime we or anyone beats those pay-for-player cheaters I appreciate it).

We need 4/5 OL this year and this commit will allow us to make sure we get our numbers while still being able to wait on the elite guys as others have said.

Welcome to the family Mark, continuing the NC pipeline...at least one player 6 of the past 7 years: Councell, Farley, Moore, Shembo, Blanton, Kerry Neal, and Raeshon McNeil.

Hopefully that makes Marshall more comfortable...a home away from home.

Driving home and I get the tweet that he committed. Welcome Mark!! I love these spontaneous commitments. You not sitting there counting down the days for a press conference. Love having a kid that absolutely loves ND...these are the ones you don't have to worry about wavering..-----but, is he DONE with recruiting or will he still take his visits?

Congrats Mark,
I don't know anything about his grades or test scores, but the fact that his offer list includes Vanderbilt and Stanford; as well as GaTech, Michigan, and North Carolina; implies he has a good head on his shoulders. I love to see that to go with the great football skills.

Great pick up. Hopefully we get some recruiting momentum going with this commit and hopefully Greenberry in the near future.

Beryirish:

He says that his recruiting road trip this spring is cancelled and he is all Irish. He claims his recruitment is done and he will concentrate on his senior year. However, it's recruiting so take that with a grain of salt.

I thought this would happen down the road. Actually, I'm slightly blind-sided.

CHEER...CHEER...CHEER ---Three cheers for the big man!!! You will love this, AND there are plenty of opportunities to get yourself up in the depth chart. It's a great and rare opportunity: great athletes for teammates and playing time too. And what a coaching staff!

My bad.

3-star on Scout. NR by Rivals or ESPN yet.

Solid offer list though.

You all realize he plays tight end now correct? His team is 98% run. It is like an old single T. This is not bad. His coach is an NFL vet with nine years in the trenches and a kick *** attitude. Even though the coach is a Washington grad he is one of the main forces to encourage Mark to GO IRISH! He also has worked with Mark on pass blocking above and beyond, and the boy has put on muscle, (major weight) in the last year or so. He has a good weight program. By the way, Mark's parents will have him retake the ACT if his score does not meet their goals. Doesn't matter if it is good enough to get him into ND anyways, he will retake it. I think Mark may enjoy some aspects of getting to South Bend, some things may be easier than at home! I can relate; the same was true for me when I joined Uncle Sam's Misguided Children, many years ago . . .

Congratulations Mark!
