I'd expect a consistent 40 in the 4.4s sometime this season...
On a Rivals story a few weeks ago, Gehrig mentioned that his family was a bigger fan of ND than he was. He said something to the extent that "it's just another school." I know it's a feeling out process this early in the recruiting process, but that's just what I read. I trust the WSBT article more.
I have trust in Kelly to do the right thing...make Gehrig the first commit of 2012.
Gehrig's top schools are ND, OSU, and Oregon, if no particular order. He probably would committ if offered by one.
But, he also is exploring as many other options as possible, mainly in the Big10.
He is going to IU junior day on Feb 19th and also Purdue. Has plans to go back up to Michigan State and now that there is a coaching change, to Michigan.
He is coming to the ND junior day and will go to one day camps here, advanced senior camp at Ohio State, and to IU and Purdue one day camps. Other days if time permits to other schools.
In listening to local sports show on WSBT last night with Tom Lemming on, they stated that Notre Dame had over 80 offer's out to 2012 kids. He is not one of them.
Not to doubt Lemming, but I heard yesterday the number was near 30. ISD posted a list of all verbal offers or something like that and I think it was WAY less than 80. I'm sure a lot of questions will be answered after junior day. I know everyone on here would love it for him to be offered.
OK, I was just going by what they said, it was reporters on radio that said it. Not Tom.
But I agree, he should get a feel for things on the 26th....
I take that back, just went back to listen and Tom said they have 70 out possibly 80, and thinks they may have over 100 by March 1st. Here is link for interview.
The ink from signing day is still fresh. CBS College Sports, Football Recruiting Analyst Tom Lemming steps in with a review of the 2011 class. - wsbtradio.com
When is the Blue/Gold game?
Did not get an offer today at junior day but was offered this week by Northern Illinois and Western Michigan.
His father Derek (Panther) told ISD that the visit went "alright."
