Back from Happy Valley. I'll put a thread up later about the overall weekend.

Gameday didn't go as I had planned. I was right behind the guy with the poster of Joe Pa as Patick Ewing dunking a basketball.

two big problems

1) I got there at 930 am instead of 730 am.

2) I'm 5'7'' and my signs were far too small.

Sorry to disappoint you fellas, but I was tryin. I caught a lot of shit for wearin my green ND jersey. My uncle told me he was looking for a green dot in a sea of white on gameday but didn't see me.

1a) Timing is everything.
2a) Sometimes size DOES matter.

I did see that Joe Pa as Ewing dunking sign so I'll consider you seen on the scene. Kudos for the attempt and your wearin' o' the green.

After my first live gameday experience, 2 important lessons were learned no matter where you are.

get there damn early. these college kids will pop ecstasty and aderol to stay up all night and be the first ones there.

it's not who has the biggest sign, but who has the best way of getting their sign the highest. the two highest signs were actually small, but the guys had the sign duck taped to two HUGE pieces of wood they held up when the camera was on. good to know for future reference.
