Makes sense.

Austin and Bennett were quite the tandem on special teams, with proper coaching they'll be stud DBs.

Didn't Kelly just say at the presser he wasn't going to make any announcement on position moves right now, and had implemented a Twitter ban?

Someone will be doing a kegstand at the coaches party tonight.

Diaco's gotta get down on the kegstand tonight. Dude is valuable to the program. Can't wait to see what he does for the 2012 crop. Time to concentrate on the new kids for next year.

Hoping he's Cody Grimm #2. I played lax against Cody in HS for years... never an elite athlete... was way slower than I was on the field and wasn't considered a serious S prospect for college football but he was always a very smart player. Was a 0* prospect with no offers and had to walk on to Virginia Tech. Great fundamentals and work ethic in everything he did and his father, Russ Grimm, is an NFL Hall of Famer.

Gets to VT works his butt of becomes a 2 year starter. Drafted in the last round of the NFL draft by the Bucs because scouts said he wasn't "athletic enough." Ends up being a starter as a rookie and having a great year before getting injured because he had a good head and nose for the ball.

I would not be shocked if in 2012-13 we see Collinsworth logging some serious PT. He might not be the most athletically gifted athlete on the team but you can tell from special teams that he has a nose for the football. I'd rather have someone reading plays and making sure tackles than Zeke Motta running around like an uncontrolled ball of energy making a great play 50% of the time and taking a bad angle and whiffing the other half of the time.

Really like this move. Watch the physical nature in the way he plays. He hits hard and tackles. He has good football sense.

Go Austin!!!

Although he played 5 or 6 positions in high school, safety was his best imo. He likes to hit.

This opens up the depth chart for Daniels to come in and start as a True Freshman.

This way he can get some good game experience with Floyd on the field. Because when floyd leaves he will probably be the number 1 WR.

With Collinsworth moving, Bennett moving, Badger back after another year, and the incoming class, there's almost depth back there.

And it won't be a 17 year old trying to learn his way around campus.

Is badger coming back for this season and is there any time that he has to sit out due to his missions?

More great news today. I have faith in the coaches.. something that has been lacking for me in recent memory.

Religious missions get a free ride by the NCAA. The clock (5 years to play 4) is suspended while on a mission. No sit out required.
