Told ISD in a recent interview that he was 6'1-195. Impressive measures for an incoming freshman in our defensive backfield. Diaco and Kelly are certainly bringing in the physical defensive backs they talked about.

I'm telling you sleeper of the DB class. Personally think he will be the best of the bunch.

Texas produces such a ridiculous pool of talent every year that a lot of kids who would easily be a 4-star in another state end up as a 3-star in Texas.

Jalen Brown seems to fit that mold. I think Bennet Okotcha would have as well.

4.37 you know how fast that is? That is Darby speed and watch his highlight tape IMO it doesn't reflect it. I am a recruiting nut i watch a lot of high light films and not many guys run 4.37s. IMO forty times are the most overrated stat in the game of football maybe a 4.47. I love Jalen Brown as a player but there is no way IMO he runs a 4.37. Plus Jack Nolan of all people reported it. You guys don't have to believe me but i just dont think he is that fast. Hope i am wrong though. Look back he would of been the 6th fastest player in the NFL draft with the 4.37 if he came out. Just not buying it.

It was hand timed

He's still one of the fastest on the team. That's a good thing

If the 4.37 time is legit, that is a "no brainer"! I wouldn't think there are too many 4.37's in all of CFB, let alone just at ND.

Sounds like the 4.4 in his Profile is real!

Can he field punts?

Seriously that's the first thing I thought...Can he field punts and or kickoffs.

not buying it. but if so great for Jalen and us for the speed in the secondary.

I agree it was handtimed and he is probably more in the low to mid 4.4 which is still great, considering how physical and perfect he is for the cover 2.

I guess no one else on here watches film or anything of the sort. Just because it would make him the 6th fastest in the NFL last year means nothing. Speed doesn't always mean talent. There may have been 50 other people last year running that speed, but not talented enough for the NFL. This young man is 18 and just went through his first summer of a college lifting program. I for one am happy that he is one of the fastest on the team regardless of hand timed/electronic or using a sun dial. A couple years of conditioning and lifting should help this kid alot and good to hear that some of the "sleepers" from this class are more gifted than we knew.

I'm sorry, but I cannot follow thought process. The discussion was about his speed alone. No one said that Jalen isn't a good player. I'm not sure what you read that made you feel it was time to climb up on the podium and start lecturing incoherently.
