Named at US Army All American Bowl combine as honorable mention. Only player from Indiana to receive recognition.

Panther, thanks for all the updates. I'm from South Bend and would love to see Gehrig end up at ND. Just out of curiosity, would Gehrig be open to playing safety in college, or does he want to stay at receiver?

Panther, thank you for your interest in this board and the information you share. Your son would be a welcomed addition to the ND family. I hope everything works out for your family during the process and look forward to hear more about Gehrig.

One was to advertise for adidas' new lightest football cleat ever made, the adiZero 5-Star, and to also give the junior prospects pointers on the recruiting process and their futures.

"I really liked them," South Bend (Ind.) Washington wide receiver Gehrig Dieter said. "It was a lot easier to cut and you can feel how light your feet are. I'm going to wear them for games next year."

He's not going to be able to wear these at Oregon . . . just sayin'.

This is a kid I wish was born a year later. This class is gonna be tight on numbers with needs at NT, RB,DB,S, and O-line. Might not be room for him.

I think we only have 17-18 spots.

Way too early to tell for spots next year. Everyone thought we would only have 15 spots this year and now we can take 25.

This kid is a player. Worked hard to improve his overall game and speed. I would be very surprised if we do not offer.

Article I recently read said that ND currently has 21 spots open for 2012. That's if ND doesn't add anymore commits past the 23 they already have.

So It's going to sit between 21 and 19 for 2012 depending if ND lands any of the likes of Niklas, Huggins and/or Haynes.

Obviously it will grow more than as some 5th year guys won't come back, players leaving early for the NFL and transfers.

It appears Ohio State will host a "invite" only junior day on Feb 26th, also the day of the Notre Dame junior day.
When further information is received he will make a decision on which junior day he will attend. Dates for the Michigan and Michigan State junior day's have not been been picked yet. He is also waiting for the date of Purdue's junior day.

Nice find. Seems to be playing his recruitment nicely. This kid will be a great get for any school.

Mr. Dieter, Panther, mind if I ask what kind of physical training Gehrig goes through? Statistically it seems your son is top-notch physically.

Worked split routine after season 3 days lifting/3 days on PowerPull. On his own.
Receiving 3 times a week then once a week indoor flag league.
After combines; back to 2 days now school lifting/ soon to be three.
Will start back Monday on PowerPull. In 6 weeks, he took .10 off forty. Wants to be in the 4.46-4.48 by start of fall season.
Will throw 3 times a week indoors with QB brother and PowerPull days and lift the others.
Do you want specific lifts?

Any and all extra info would be fantastic. Have any work out videos perhaps?

Oh, and of course thank you for the info you have already provided.

Don't have any video training, but US Army combine 1 on 1 and drills will be ready around February 7th. I will post those.

That will be great. Also, do you own the powerpull or do you have access to one via gym, work out facility, etc.? That's one nifty piece of equipment.

Local indoor facility where they throw and work with the equipment.
