Seems strange to commit to a school without visiting. Of course, if I were offered when I was in high school, I would commit immediately without needing a visit - but I'm a die hard ND fan.

I wish they would offer me right now...no need for a visit.

I'm 35 and out of shape but I have all my years of eligibility!

I committed to Notre Dame when I was 8.
Finally visited when I was 30 (and have continued to visit every year since).
After each visit... I'm always glad I committed.

Go Irish!

Jughead Jones and Irish Canuck as book-end tackles---a real surprise coming. Who needs Drew??? Maybe we can lure Johnny and dshans out of retirement. And, sorry, 70 is WAY too old for my comeback.

I made my visit when I was 9. Front row, 50 yard line, right behind the yellow mums...I was Irish for life that day forward.

Johnny might find a slot but I can't imagine how my 5'6", 130 pounds and gimpy left leg would fit in with the spread offense or 3-4 defense.

We'll put you in the slot... no one will see you coming.

You'd be OT of course, because anyone can chop block, I mean cut block (sorry Navy fans).

No need to apologize, that is flat out dirty. I don't care if they're smaller than everyone else that rule needs to change...guys are getting hurt.

It's illegal in high school because, they don't want kids to get their knees blown out...what's the difference in college??

Funny you should say that. The summer job I had after freshman year was pumping gas at a JC Penney service center ... yes, I'm THAT old. I filled the tanks, washed windshields, checked the oil level and tire pressures, etc.

At one point a new assistant manager showed up and when he found out I went to ND he asked, quite seriously, if I was on the football team. I told him I was the starting center.

I hope they have a good class. Richt seems to be a very good man. He needs more guys with Drew's moral make up on the team. I doubt this preacher will be as scummy as a Southern preacher that has been in the CFB news lately.

This is about as shocking as when Ellen Degeneras announced she was a lesbian, which is to say not at all.

No big surprise here, I think we all knew he would stay south and Georgia always seemed like a good fit for him. Best of luck to Drew at Georgia, he seems like a good kid.
