I wonder if Diaco's hair was still perfect like it was when he made the early AM visit to Ishaq?

As far as recruiting practices - the true mortal sin in ND football coaching is to not run a clean program. The University's administration would have the staff on the next bus out of town. Even a hint of real impropriety is seen as a big problem and probably not one a coach would recover from.

I feel bad for the kid that he feels so torn.

Btw, before we go toooo crazy in Diaco fawning...

Apparently Chuck Martin had the biggest role in Stephon coming back to ND. He was the one Stephon was closest with all along, and it was him that is most responsible for the recommitment. That being said, I still have a man crush on Diaco.

Diaco has a degree in sociology, correct? While sociology studies groups of people, he still has some insight on psychological matters--reactions, wants, and needs of individuals, etc. I have to think that helps when recruiting young men in some capacity.

I'm not saying that is the sole reason for his success, but I find it to be an incredibly interesting variable.

This is why we shouldn't have doubted Coach Diaco when we hired him. He's great. Man, I love this coaching staff. Kelly, Martin, Diaco, Alford...Those guys are fantastic.

You hit the nail on the head. I never felt confident about Huggy Bear coming to ND, but with the way that things have been going, Kelly & company will finish this class off with an exclamation point!

Here's the deal. I'm new to the recruiting thing, but I believe that the current staff will bring out the best of ND which will bring the best to ND. Kids have been feed a load that ND is in the past, which we all no to be false. These kids are just seeing the light or truth if yo will.

Makes me wonder what was happening in the past. OH well, its in the past. Time to bring out the best.

Not to take anything away from the coaches relentless recruiting, but winning 4 straight makes it much easier than losing 4 straight to end the year. We are on a huge upswing, which should continue for eternity....or at least a few years.
