It's not Martin

Then it's one of the boys from the AAAB game most likely...
I wonder which one? Ishaq wouldn't be a surprise really...
Hmmm
Well
This is going to be a super solid recruiting class.
I'm stoked.

Yeah that seems very unlikely.
But who knows!

At this point I won't be shocked at ANYTHING.

From a guy that usually has some good info on the Rivals board:

Lynch and ND are hammering out the EE process and they expect him to be in class monday.. also Ishaq is supposed to announce wed. Makes me think its not looking good fro nd with ishaq, but he hasn't told nd no yet.

All of the news today is good. It will be great to get everything wrapped up and let Aaron get down to the business of getting his degree and becoming a great-er football player. I'm pumped about Tuitt and Lynch together.

Getting Nick Martin is huge too. This whole class is looking more and more balanced. Lots of studs on the two lines and linebackers. Lots of upside with the skilled guys.

If we get Williams and Carlisle and hold everybody together, this may be a class we all remember for what they accomplish.

I think they're just saying that Ishaq appears to be fading. He's waiting on the PSU coaching situation to get settled.

The same guys that usually have good info on Rivals have said some new names are going to pop up. Guys that are currently committed elsewhere. The Army AA game served as a pretty good platform for our recruiting. This will be a very interesting next few weeks. These names are supposedly pretty exciting. Will post more as I see it.

IShaq would not be a shocker, but by the way everyones critique of his recrutiment is now...there would be plenty of surprised people.

As long as we get some big guys up front on OL/DL, players with speed on the edge on defense, and at least one of Amir/Huggins...I trust BK. We will get to 24/25 somehow.

I know it is the bleacher report so bare with me. They obivoulsy messed a few things up like the finalists and positions but got the meat and potatoes (who was on the roster) right. It was also broken up into East and West and by position so it is an easy read vs some of the other articles....anyway looking for possible names for surprises. Probably on the EAST squad...look at these D linemen:

Defensive Tackles

Tim Jernigan, Lake City, Fla.: The fourth-ranked tackle is between Florida State, Alabama, LSU, Michigan and Florida

Delvon Simmons, McKeesport, Penn.: The No. 25 tackle is between Penn State, Florida, Iowa, Oregon and Rutgers

Defensive Ends

Sterling Bailey, Gainesville, Georgia: The No. 14 end has a verbal with Georgia

Ray Drew, Thomasville, Georgia: The top-ranked player at the game (No. 3 overall, No. 2 DE) is deciding between Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Clemson and Tennessee

Aaron Lynch, Cape Coral, Fla.: The seventh-ranked end is signed with Florida State

Jeoffrey Pagan, Asheville, NC: Fourth-ranked end will choose between Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Tennessee and Georgia

Stephon Tuitt, Monroe, Georgia: 12th-ranked end has a verbal with Notre Dame

Ishaq Williams, Brooklyn, NY: Sixth-ranked end is choosing between Syracuse, Notre Dame, Penn State, Miami and Alabama

Army All-American Game 2011 Roster: Rundown of Game's Recruits | Bleacher Report
Hope the Ray Drew stuff comes true.

I live in Fort Myers, FL, and I know exactly what you mean. The fans that cheered for UM, cheered for FSU in the 90's and now they cheer for the Gators. There is NO loyalty at all. It carries over with the NFL too. Bucs fans who were Dolphins fans, who are now Jags fans, etc.....

Isn't BK going to be visiting Amir this friday? I hope everything is set up for Lynch so there is no worries or hurdles to clear. My normal pessimistic mind at work.

Everything that I've read spoke of Lynch and Tuitt dominating with Lynch being a little better.

One could argue that Lynch was the best player in the game.

Actually I think it would be hard to make a valid argument to the contrary. Kid just blew by or tossed aside everybody and anybody who tried to block him. Aside from the 2.5 sacks he had, he was right there on a bunch of others where there QB just got the ball off, or one of his linemates got there first. It was like watching a high school version of the NY Giants defensive lines from 3-4 years ago. I remember during the game thinking to myself "Damn I can't believe we had this kid and lost him". Lynch was in the backfield being a disruptive force on just about every snap. Tuitt looked great also, but Lynch was flat out a man amongst boys.
The one knock I have from the game, and this may have only been because it was an all-star game type environment, is that I saw a few plays where the West ran sweeps or handoffs away from him and he kind of gave up on the play rather than keeping his backside pursuit. Like I said, I am sure in a true game environment where the livelihood of his team is on the line, that would all change. If not, it is definitely something that can be coached up, because with his speed and athleticism he is ALWAYS in the play, whether he realizes it or not at this stage in his development.

Kid has pre-injury Jevon Kearse, Julius Peppers type upside, and I would be shocked if he does not make the leap all the way up to 5 star status in the final recruiting rankings.

Did Lynch outperform Drew at the game?

According to ISD practice reports, Drew was the least impressive out of all the lineman. There was clearly a gap in performance between him and the others. Lynch and Tuitt are on a whole other level.

Agree that Lynch was the best in the game; however, the game really favors DL over OL, as coordination and timing are keys to blocking.

Would Drew project well as a OLB?

IMO Lynch and Tuitt were head and shoulders above all else...Drew had 1 good play from what I remember.
