Welcome Nick, great to have you.Fwiw, according to recruiting services he has the exact same measureables as his brother. He also has a very impressive offer list. Michigan, MSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, Boston College, etc.
Like all recruits we will have to wait and see how he develops, but I, for one, like him a lot more than your average 3* guy because he is a home grown Indiana guy and has a family member who is playing very well for us right now with the exact same build. There is something to be said for genetics.
BGIF is the smartest guy on the board, so he may well be correct. But I too trust in genetics, and also in a sort of family-born will power that creates guys who want to succeed and who will never quit. Sometimes the second rendition isn't as good as the first; sometimes he's better. But he's almost always good.
This situation also reminds me of the West Virginia O-lines in their hey-days, when WVU could never get more than a three-star, but they sure could coach them up. Places like BC and Connecticut are often like that today. I've got high hopes for Nick Martin.
And as to getting two prime quality OTs: Almost everyone says, of course, that Hegarty looks like one. If both Springman and Carrico come over to Offense, I wouldn't be a bit surprised that one or both of them might not turn into a monster. Springman after all is also a basketball player of some repute, and wheeling his 6'8" into the right tackle spot might be something eye-opening with the coaching up.
I have no idea of course where Nick Martin will play on our line---maybe he'll want to be the "missing" center.
All Kalamazoo guys are the smartest; doesn't even have to be said. And we're so self-confident that we don't even need the reinforcement. Ah, it's great to be us!!

Haha, wrong profile or position BGIF!
