^agreed. I think Dooley will protect the border on this one. They are putting all their stock in just a few recruits.

From the ISD article, it sounds like the only way that ND has a shot is if Kelly visits his family at their house.

Judging by the article title, Richardson hosted the coaches last night.

Judging by the article title, Richardson hosted the coaches last night.

A coach, and the Richardson's counldn't remember his name after...must have made a great impression. Two other schools visit that day as well, along with several others earlier in the week.

One of the things that is a bit comical about the article is that Antonio's father couldn't remember the name of the coach that visited, but it's clear that it wasn't Coach Kelly.

It sounds like they're getting bombarded by coaches right now. His father said that USC, Tennessee, and Georgia visited earlier in the week while ND, Auburn and Vanderbilt all visited on Wednesday.

It sounds like this recruiting race is wide open.

This kid is not leaving the south and I would be shocked if he left the state of Tennessee. His father did an interview today and he says all the right things to whoever he's talking to.

They have been holding a grudge against ND since their visit to the campus because nobody told them that BK would not be there. Seems to me that this is a situation where the recruit is holding an ND offer for show. My guess in the end is Tennessee with Alabama a close second if not the other way around. Academics will play a serious role in his decision.

Yes. That's why I say academics are a factor when it comes to his ND recruitment. He transferred schools and cited academic troubles as a reason. Not good when you are still in highschool. ND is all but out of consideration at this point.

Richardson is one of those kids that need ND, more than ND needs him. He will probably go to a SEC school and get a feeble degree(if he is there long enough to graduate), play a year or two in the NFL and disappear. He would do well picking ND, but I doubt that will happen. ND would get him through with a meaningful degree.

What ever happened to Antonio

What ever happened to Antonio

It has been a while since Antonio Richardson's name was mentioned,
so I decided to mention it.

He was interested in ND and ND was interested in this 6-6/310# OT.
An excellent athlete, he seemed to be a perfect fit. Then something
happened and he was off the radar screen.

He is a real prospect-----'twould be nice to get him on board.

Not sure how interested he was in us, but he seems to have academic concerns as mentioned previously in the thread.

Southwest--

Glad to meet ya Pard-ner--- you remind me of a guy from The Magnificent Seven.

Steve McQueen I think his name was----anyhow---

Richardson would be a great addition. I saw that he had academic problems, but those can be overcome with a little (no- a lot) of hard work-----

If he wanted to come to ND he could work as Devaris Daniels did----

It is difficult to be in the minds and hearts of guys who have the ability and want
to play in the NFL, and become millionaires. I never had to think about those things.

If we can get him a campus, we have a great shot. But nothing set or at least it does not look like he is going to visit right now. Would be a great get.

According to Rivals he has scheduled 0 visits and has yet to name a list of finalists. I don't think this kid leaves the south. Gut says Tennessee or Bama.

jmurph: I am willing to entertain the notion that your statement is absolutely correct, but I am of a similar mind to Terry on these sort of statements. You say: he's looking forward to an easy ride. That's extremely important to know if true. How did you get that information? If real, I write him off now.

Your right it was kind of a strong statement that I should've elaborated on, there is a group of us that were discussing recruiting me being the lone ND fan(1-former Gator Player, 1-former Hurricane Player, 2-Bama Alum, 2-Seminole Alum,1-former UCF player and a Georgia Alum). They are all very into following the recruiting scene and this was the general opinion from them. They told me that the original reason for things cooling between ND and Richardson had to do with academics and that they didn't think that he would want to focus on academics. These guys have always been pretty knowledgeable and fair with their opinions and although they give me alot of crap for being Irish they all have a respect for our program. Sorry for making the statement without explaining the situation I was posting from my phone in the hospital after just having my 1st baby girl.
