Just read that Councell took a trip to South Carolina for an unofficial visit this past weekend. The children are getting restless!!!

Per Irish Sports Daily:

Rumor not true, he is sold with Irish according to his Coach

On a side not: seems like 247 throws out a lot of false info

Love it, well not 247sports, but the fact that he is sold on the Irish. I really think this kid is going to be a beats and a difference maker for a our D.

He’s been our defensive standout and will probably get the Defensive Player of the Year award for our conference.”

Considering that Jeoffrey Pagan, a standout DE from Asheville High School, is in that conference, this would be a huge award for the A.C. Reynolds standout. Pagan ranks No. 19 nationally in ESPN’s Top 150 for the Class of 2011. When the two teams squared off, it was Councell’s Rockets that won the battle by a 41-13 score. In the personal battle, Councell finished with 11 tackles while Pagan finished the game with only one.

I like this too, kid is underrated.

So he didn't visit South Carolina this past weekend? If he did visit the '****s then he apparently isn't solid enough to keep other coaches out of his ear.

remember 24/7 floated atkinson to usc a few weeks ago, I would guess they are trying to sell subscriptions

According to ISD:

He did visit SC last weekend, but is firm with ND.

Going to be a wild ride until signing day

Scratch him off the commit list, he is gone.

The fact that he didn't even bother to tell his coach he was going says it all...

Man...if we could somehow pull a win off against Utah I think that could turn this recruiting ship around.

even a really close hard fought defensive battle and a beat down of Army followed up by a win at usc

Councell did visit South Carolina but, he has stated that IF he were to take any other visits after giving his verbal to ND, that visit would be only to get the chance to watch a college football game for free. His High school coach is on record saying Ben is solid on ND and he thinks there's no chance Ben de-commits, or is even considering any other schools.

There is nothing that says he didn't let Kelly know.
This isn't that big of news.So what? USC has nothing on us.Calm down.

I meant his high school coach...

USC does have one thing on us like he says...its close to his home...that's what worries me.

As for his high school coach saying he is coming still...that's nice to hear...but we had Lynch's mom actually posting here and everything was all good until we got a bomb thrown on us over the weekend (and he already before had planned visits to FSU (same weekend he was supposed to be visiting us) and Florida the week after)...

I am calm. I just have my eyes wide open though after the Lynch fiasco.

Wake me on signing day, letting the mood swings of 17-18 year old kids alter my day is getting old. We will sign a good class of young men, I hope Ben is one of them, if he is not, good luck to him.

Every year I drive myself crazy following our recruiting and every year I say this is the last year that I subject myself to this constant state of uncertainty......I feel like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs until NSD! I have a good feeling about Ben and hope that I'm right

I kinda get sick of hearing, "they are only 17 or 18 year old kids". Remember, we have 18 years old kids protecting our country every day. Do you think they are as wishy washy as some of these freakin prima donna attention whore athletes?

17 or 18 in most states if you commit a crime guess what you are an adult. These Adults need to learn not to say yes to every big wig head coach that comes there way. THink about it i know that it is alot to think about and all of things that go in to making a decision. but make the right one. not the wrong one 2 or 3 times.

Amen. Amen. Amen. At 17 I chose to travel 1200 miles from Orlando, FL to South Bend, IN rather than 115 to Gainesville, FL for four years. And I didn't even play football --- except for tag or flag.

Go figure.

It wasn't long before my extended family was further extended. From coast to coast.
